Why do you use yamato glue some of the time and white glue in others? (Just curious) Edit: I used to bookbind during my uni years (10 years ago) and this video is making me want to do it again
just for fun and experimenting! i ended up just liking the white PVA glue for bookbinding and could see the yamato glue being great for paper crafts/collages in general.

Not sure if it's the same fabric, but it looks exactly like what I use for making lampshades by the name of "dupioni." Traditionally this is made with silk but there are polyester versions available now. Dupioni and Shantung are your starting point but since this is for a book cloth you'll also need to back it with paper.

ah that’s bookbinding fabric that i got from Talas a while ago..I’ll upload a link in the description once I find it!
