EVERYONE'S ON THE LIMIT

  • Another tough weekend guys - EVERYONE is on the limit.
    I touched the white line and crashed in the Superpole Race. When Toprak came past, I felt it was quite close and he was not aiming at the corner but aiming towards me to open up the line. He gave me space - but at 320kmph there was wind buffeting that knocked me around a little bit. I was wide, caressed the white line and that was enough to put me down.
    I was really frustrated because it was a complete knock-on effect for Race Two. Starting from tenth place on the fourth row, I had to clear traffic in the beginning. The Honda guys in the first laps were buzzing around, attacking me as I was attacking them. Then Locatelli - he was really good in some areas of the track, especially the last sector.
    Everywhere else I was able to catch him. But in doing so I was abusing my tyre a little bit. When I had clear track towards Alex and Toprak I thought the race was going to come to me and I would catch them. But they just kept going and I feel like I had experienced too much tyre consumption in those early laps.
    Although I could not catch Alex and Toprak it is encouraging that Alex had such a good race as well. We were able to compete for podiums here. So, not the weekend we dreamed of, but I think it ended up better than expectations after Friday’s practice sessions.

    Adventure bike popularity is making manufacturers less interested in spending on developing new 1000cc sport bikes which is the raw material for the WSBK grid and a problem for the future of the series. The Panigale is the newest design on the grid, the RC30 of the modrn era leap frogging the rest.

      dont forget people pay stupid money for a ducati. they cost twice as much as the jap bikes and arent even any better really in stock form, certainly not £/lb. If kawasaki doubled their price tag i'm sure they could afford to make a competitive bike. and that's before we talk about dorna raising the homologation price just as ducati releases a newer more expensive model...
      Theres no doubt in my mind if kawasaki brought out a new model with and engine that had 1000rpm more theyd be back on top. but we'll see how much they really want it. hopefully they don't follow suzuki

      V4 is powerful machine, some extra KG of Rinaldi doesn't matter, look how both Bautista and Rinaldi blast pass in long straight against Toprak. But credit to Bautista, this was the first time he passed someone on long straight rest of all the passes are in corners.

    • @KoushikShetty
      @KoushikShetty Год назад

      @@kestrel3509 some extra kgs is what makes the difference actually. Even 1 kg is gonna make few meters of diff, especially in the straight. Most of bautista's passes have been in straight and getting the holeshot with ease(case in point all the races where he was not in Ppole) . The acceleration that Bautista gets with the 55kg frame is massive. The v4 was powerful even in the 18-19-20. Chaz n Redding could not fly like Bautista. The only thing is to match the machine perf from other manufacturers.

    • @kestrel3509
      @kestrel3509 Год назад

      @@KoushikShetty Yet Bautista passed everyone on corners (except first pass in Catalunya against Toprak), you simply can't be fast in straight and win, look at Bagnaia vs. Rins on Honda.
      You HAVE to be faster on all sector and that's what Bautista is doing, hence the pole position in Catalunya, he's flowing like water, advantage or disadvantage, he flying right and others have to keep up or lose.

Forget the media scrum. Remember Joey Dunlop , Joe Ryan . Bob Mac and Paul Dunstall and a lot more , where able to take their bikes to bits and produce better racing machines than the factories ever could. Sit down with your best mechanic and take the engine to bits and find out how to tune it it's easy and you will be able to get an extra 10 bhp and start winning again. Best of luck.
