This might as well be a “GT530” for barely giving a half step more than the GT500 and costing 3-5 times more. Where is he wrong? You can spend like $15000 on the previous generation that started under $40000 and already, it’s faster than the crap they’re trying to sell us on.

To be fair the car is suppose to be a 7 minute and below car at the nurburgring track and they have a titanium exhaust with carbon ceramic brakes with a new suspension that supposedly adjust itself on the go so I ain’t surprised it’s that much it’s definitely going to be faster than the ford gt with the predator and 8 speed dct. The ford gt500 with it being 4200 lbs it was moving fast asf and now it may be 600-1000 lbs lighter it definitely will be moving.

Aston Martin
Ferrari
Lamborghini
If you were to build any of these cars to GT3 specifications it would run you well over 200k.

I'll be honest, I gotta disagree with the take on that this is just a widebody Mustang. Only thing Mustang about this is the bones. You're definitely not gonna be capable of building this car yourself without spending insane amounts of money. I watched the speech they gave about what the car has and the techology is insane. This is a true supercar in every aspect.
GT3s are pretty much built up from a unibody, calling this a widebody is like calling a full tube chassis build a "small subframe job"

now i totally agree it shouldnt be that much, nor should it be as exlusive as teh ford GT. but i do see what they're trying to get at. you gotta also remember this the first mustang with a transaxle, 50/50 weight, carbon cermaic brakes and alot of carbon fiber on teh body. they're aiming for a sub 7 minute time on the nurburg. something a challenger could never do i dont think lol

I think it's a strong chance of it look at the GT350 it ran a 732 which Ford was aiming for 740 and as you can see this car has the hardware and now with this transaxle I believe the Mustang will be able to put the power down on the pavement more aggressively I hope it just weighs 33 or less though

I think if Porsche is charging big money for a GT3 RS that has no porsche luxuries in it that tells me there's a market for this car, but to really know how it's going to sell it has to out-perform the GT3 RS. So until we get a real track comparison it's hard to say how successful sales will be. If they actually get the Nurbergring time below 7 minutes than I would say it stands a great chance at making it a success.

This car is completely worth the price tag. It’s hand built car first off. The suspension is new and one of kind. The amount of money that went into the RnD of the car is ridiculous itself. The active aero, magnesium wheels, Trans axle, the design of the air flow are all reasons for the car being what it is. If your going in a straight line the cars suspension will lower the car down for less drag. The active Aero changes if your going around a curve or heading straight. Everything about this car screams Super car!

Then you have the r&d costs for the chasis the aerodynamics, suspension geometry and not to mention the DRS system like the 911 gt3 RS. I say $300000 price is justified. @@Thurmanatr16 bruh if you have experience working with carbon fiber you may know all carbon fiber are not the same. Gloss carbon is less expensive but heavier compared to matte. Then there are things like carbon fiber reinforced plastic and forged carbon. All of em have different use cases different tensile strength and more importantly, cost.

To be fair it wasn’t really made by Ford persay Multimatic did most of the work. So I’m not really surprised I just think that since this has been in the works for a couple yrs Ford could’ve taken they blueprint and added the transmission to the diff on the upcoming GT and Dark Horse models.
It look like it’s a 130,000 dollar build but marked up to pay for the R&D of the project. I think it’s cool as f’ck and if I won the lottery today I would be one of the first names on the list to get it and I’m a GM guy and 14 Camaro SS owner. But this Stang is sexy as hell! 🤪

You're right, the GTD it's not the everyday man's car. And those with that kind of money probably don't want to buy a mustang for that price point lol. It'll be an investment car, like the Ford GT. Garage queen that goes up in value due to it's limited run. Also, where is the Ecoboost 4 cylinder base model s650 $100k? That's crazy. Haven't seen that yet. Also, I don't believe there's a twin turbo V6 option in the new S650 yet.

It's a strategic play similar to the Ford GT, in that you must be selected for an allocation direct from Dearborn to even be considered. If your money ain't long, & you aren't affluent enough, then you've nothing to concern yourself over.

It has the same body as a 2024 dark horse mustang, and almost everything about the car has been tuned to race, even the material was swapped out with carbon fiber. Better off with a tubular K member from BMR set to it's lowest, on a built coyote with either a 3L Whipple or twin turbo. Add a 1 piece driveshaft and maybe 3.73s and that's it unless you absolutely need the widebody

Any car with pushrod/pullrod/inboard suspension suspension from factory is gonna cost you probably over half a mil. The only ones I can think of are the aventador and the amg project one.

It’s a road legal race car. the same guys buying these are the same guys buying other 300k priced cars not a hard question. You don’t say you’re going for the Nurburgring record with a “parts bin mustang”. It does more than go fast in a straight line or slide and people are hating.
Based what I’ve heard so far this thing is almost an entirely different platform. I don’t think there’s a single component that hasn’t been tweaked, modified or upgraded. Also, carbon fiber can get expensive.
If it's not ground up it ain't new and I can tell just by the name alone for having Mustang it's not new. They can't make a new GT cus they ain't got the money so what they did is shifted the Mustang to a different playing field with changing the engine location.

I put in an order for a gt s650, I signed for a 50 grand car. I was given an update with a delayed delivery and a price change of 60 grand. They wanted 110 grand.

Not gonna totally agree with my guy on this one. This car was engineered from the ground-up with this setup. It's literally a GT-3 racecar setup in a street car. There is nothing "parts bin" about that rear suspension setup or that transaxle setup with that 8-speed DCT. The car also has active aero in the front, back and underbelly of the car in addition to the majority of the body panels being CF. Aston Martin made something similar awhile back and they were asking for over $1M. Also, I am sure that they will most likely do what they did for the GT and screen potential buyers for this car in addition to putting dealers in check from marking the car up....because dealers couldn't mark up the GT because of how Ford structured the sale process of that car. Willing to bet they do the same with this car.

I like the new mustang gtd it is 🔥 track car.
But Shelby already had made a monster before he passed away ao the lasr beast shelby made the 2013-2014 Shelby 1000 edition supercharged widebody track pack makes 1500hp V8 5.8L
Then brought it back 2018 Shelby 1000 edition supercharged widebody 800+ hp 5.2L track pack.
Both are cheaper then the mustang gtd. I would like to see what your thoughts and review on both Shelby 1000 editions.

I like your content bro but dig deeper on this stang. And also look up 95 Super Stallion and listen to the commentary. It's more than a body kit. Varbon fiber minus the aluminum doors. Price how much it cause to buy a GT3 car. If you can afford it its a deal. Plus like most Ford limited vehicles the value will pay you back later for sure. 8 speed dct etc. They have been leaning towards going after higher tier cars and are breaking into that territory. For ones who can't afford it should still be excited because of course all of yhis tech will be trickled down to lower end mustangs in years to come so as a display of where the performance of the stang is going I believe 300k for the r and d that went dialing this car in is worth it. They probably won't get half the money back for the few of these they made that it took to build. Sub 7 minute ring times too.. even if only close that's still fast. Jmo though.

With all that considered, it’s literally just a road legal, unrestricted GT3 Mustang, explains why the engine is pushed back. Most manufacturers charge an arm and a leg for the road versions of race cars so this is actually pretty normal.
They didn't even say what engine is coming in it yet and no make ups you have to pay Ford and then tell them what dealership to send it to and it's a carbon fiber body do your home work first 😉 and I agree it is a money

The price should reflect performance. They are aiming to best Porsche around the track, let’s see. I do know that supercharger kit on a GT can’t come close even if it had 2000 horsepower, hence its more affordability. It’s not just about power. Example: Dodge Viper ACR still the fastest manual track car. Guess what it goes for in price just like Porsche and Aston Martins etc. let’s see what this carbon fiber car does.

Mustang and Camaro are sports cars fast and can take corners. Dodge makes muscle cars heavy and fast in a straight line.
@@SRTGHOSTS Guess what the gt500 is? heavy and fast in a straight line if they werent sports cars and muscle cars then why does google say theyre sports cars? the definition of sports car is “A sports car is a car designed with an emphasis on dynamic performance, such as handling, acceleration, top speed” i dont think you know that much about cars the gt500 is a mix between fast in a straight line and a little bit of track racing the mustang gt and dodge charger or challenger are literally direct competitors both are muscle cars and both are sports cars

I agree that it’s a whole bunch of leftover mustangs put together but with all the carbon fiber and transaxle that’s not leftover but this car is the the rich and famous and not for us blue collar people anymore as it was for before
