So cool to see Detroit get this spotlight!

Yes drake maye to pats
Man I hope MN trades up for Maye. He'll be a star in that offense with a year to learn on the bench.
Hes a bust
@@marcjohnson1372you had to settle for McCarthy
McCarthy fits O'Connell's system better than Maye does, in my opinion. Besides, Kwesi tried trading up to the Patriots' #3 spot, but they declined. I'm not sure if they were trying to take Maye, or if they thought JJ would be long gone by #11, but either way, they weren't able to make a deal. Which ended up being a blessing, really. The deal they were trying to work with NE for #3 probably involved both the #11 & #23 pick, and probably more on top of that. They got to hold onto #23, which they used in their trade down to grab Flores' guy, Turner, and they were still able to pick up McCarthy, who KOC feels is an excellent fit for the system he runs. I feel like JJ & Dallas over Maye, alone, is the better choice, and they didn't have to give up anything that they won't be able to get back if they plan well. I don't get the feeling that Maye is going to do well in NE, but I guess time will tell.
Pats will sorely miss Bill .
What’s up with the hair
Not happy, should've taken MHJ. Prove me wrong I guess.
QBs win rings not WRs
They might not get a chance to draft a QB with this much potential again for years. You pretty much need to be in the top 3 spots or trade a bunch of 1st round picks to move up. He’s got the potential, they have to give it a shot
I'm with you. He's going to struggle to develop throwing to a bunch of WR 3s
@@marcob1729 what makes you think he’s gonna be throwing to wide receiver threes? The Patriots have a ton of money.
@@Re3VxRNxCLAN I'll believe it when I see it
Yea we are fucked
not even, go watch some tape! Drake’s top receivers left after last year, completely different sect of talent around him, “very good quarterback, has all the skill sets” Josh Allen/Justin Herbert is your realistic comparison, we are not fucked
Open your eyes next time
Lets hope he has no one to throw to though either is my issue
@@marcjohnson1372 have you watched the draft? He DOES have people to throw too, our WR room is now 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Kurt "pick six in the Super Bowl" Warner.
MAYE Generational BUST
Uneducated football people said this about Josh Allen & Justin Herbert too, who is Drake Maye’s best comparison, cannot call somebody a “bust” who has not played a single NFL down yet, not even somebody who’s played two seasons (cause many QB’s have sucked & then blasted onto the scene on the third year)
@@brandonhilton2730 That's selection bias. I mean I haven't played a single down yet, can I get a chance? There are tons of quarterbacks with great potential that play similar to Maye and are not doing well or already out of the league. Daniel Jones is his best comp in my opinion and looked better coming out of college. The fact is that Maye is a projection even by those who like him and study football, like Evan Lazar (who was a Mac Jones even when it was obvious Mac sucked).
Some people believe that his upside too much to pass on but I watched a lot of his games last year anticipating his draft potential to the Pats and didn't see what made him special. I think he processes slowly and his behind his receivers a lot of the time. His tendency to play hero ball got him into trouble in college and will get him benched or hurt in the NFL.
He's a huge speculative bet. But as a Pats fan, I hope I'm wrong. This comment will be and time stamped for future reference.
This won’t age well
@@abrahamanthony7106 not sure how you can say that, when his processing speeds were off the charts & miles ahead of even Caleb Williams, either your not seeing something correctly or idk, cause even ex NFL QB’s have spoken about how good his processing skills are
@@abrahamanthony7106 there’s a reason why he was ranked “Most NFL day one ready QB” in the draft & it’s mainly because his processing & natural anticipation skills (one of the things that cannot be trained) is miles ahead of every other QB, everything else he needs to work on mainly footwork is so easily trained, he played at UNC who isn’t a football strong school & didn’t have the proper QB coaches (but he got Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, Clemson) offers just stayed close to home instead
So I’m not saying your analysis is off, just it’s weird that his top ranked skill (outside of his arm talent) is spoken of by EVERYBODY but yet you think it’s where his weakness is
Doesn’t add up to the qualified people speaking on it & before you say “they get it wrong all the time” a lot of the people who were highest on C.J Stroud, actually were highest on Drake Maye out of everybody on this draft
