Only looked at this track on google earth, and it looked great. This lap was cooler than I'd ever imagined, though. You can't tell on the map that most of the corners are over hills and quite blind. What a thrill when you know the track, and can just blast over those hills, into the unknown, b@ll$ out.

This is the kind of track that the driver must reply on the corner workers, and have a bit of zen Buddhism to have the guts to turn in when you cannot see the track out point. Its a lot of fun once you get into the flow. Nelson Ledges first 3 corners are the same, and its also very fast.

Might be Le Mans, or a old Toca, grid or race driver. Some arcade story driven racing game.

I'd love to see F1 come back here since it last visited well before my time if I recall. Love this lap, Mosport just screams classic track with all of those elevation changes, fast straights through the forest, etc. Reminds me of a very twisty version of old Hockenheim.

Ya I know its a 5 year old comment but WTH. F1 will never return to Mosport. The track is too small & unsafe in it's current form to host F1. There is no run off areas or track access roads to allot of the track. The barriers are concrete & steel guard rails. Pit lane & its facilities are too small & outdated. Paddock area needs work. There is a lack of vendor facilities & grand stand seating. The place needs a minimum $200 million worth of work to bring it up to top tier international standards for a modern race track. Don't get me wrong its a half decent track for what it current use is, but its heyday has long past.

Love this freakin' Mosport. The fastest or (second) fastest road course in North America… love this ancient place to watch race cars go flat out over those hills and the dips.

The Indy Car series needs to run more natural terrain road courses like this. The idea of F1 at Mosport would be amazing, even if Bernie would want $50 million in improvements.

I'm not sure you're correct. F1 raced at Mosport in the Canadian GP in 1967, 1969, 1971-1974, 1976-1977. That said, there may have been a non-championship F1 race held, but I can't find a record of it.

Wauv.. apparently I've already been here last year.. oh well..
Again I really enjoy, the fact that there has been tragic accidents here, but they didn't change the track, but what is around the track. Barriers, runoff areas etc..
The rest of the world could take a lesson.... especially Imola was really a victim of poor management and decision making.
Imagine how scary it must have been, if it became known, as the track that only the greatest of the greatest can win in style

i saw the accident from turn 3 and ran over to turn 2 after the crash. Still have the photos i took of the damaged Kremer 962 car, and Manfred being attended to on the stretcher. Incredibly sad, as i met Manfred before the race and had a nice chat with him (largely about F1). RIP Manfred
I also saw Ian Ashley fly out of the circuit at the Andretti Straight in Hesketh 308, hit a TV camera tower and come to rest outside the guardrail. I had just arrived for first practice on the Friday morning of the 1977 Canadian GP. Have pics of the car with engine ripped off and Ian's helmet on the ground, some feet from the car. Was shaking after took the pics
