Some of the Supers in this game get a kind of Psuedo Armor that's different than the normal armor you get on P+K attacks. It has a damage cap and you actually take damage during it like Salza Blade from Cooler.

I've been playing and learning the mechanics of the game through the mod but I don't know the key differences, in specific, during combat, I tried the Goku combos and Vegeta's without cancelling, and it's a total failure, if I'm fast enough in the strings, the character drops, if not, the combo breaks, at least in practice mode in the mod, anyway, I think it would be interesting to see a comparison like that to expand the modding community just like Tenkaichi 3, with month by month, new games and playable characters/strings/abilities, I think it would be nice to see this in Budokai 3, and I have nice ideas for character mods, strings and skills or special moves but I'm too shy to contact Trevor XD, peace Dr. ! BT2 and BT3 in my opinion still remains the most Unique and the best DBZ games in terms of content, quality and fanservices. And from the gameplay perspective aspects, these DBZ games that I mentioned are very close to the anime itself because of the Vibe and Charm, I don't know how to describe it but it was, and still is the most Unique DBZ experience you could have with the combat factor. (- Sheer amount de of characters - Transformations mid-battle (powering up and down) - Fusions mid-battle - Fast gameplay that has that "woah" feel - Tons of extra content - Story mode covering all sagas + movies - What If sagas - Shenron having permanent impact on game (character unlocks and whatnot) - Great tournaments that rotate availability - Edit characters with items (buffs) - 5v5 battles - Really Great and Epic Soundtracks - Destroyable environments - Entire stages could be blown up into their "destroyed" alternatives - Mission 100 being a great challenge - Artwork is 10/10 - Sound effects are great - Combat feels heavy and satisfying) Only Budokai 3, Infinite World, Raging Blast 1 and 2 and PSP DBZ games are still considered also very solid DBZ games, also the hidden gem that a lot of DBZ fans missed from PS2 Era of DBZ games is "Super Dragon Ball Z" which is also a real Unique and DBZ game, especially for the different gameplay aspects perspective. ✌☯️

Idk honestly. I'm sure it does, but I don't know what each color means. Also, I've never seen (or I don't remember) seeing a *white* Battle Point. Can you show me an example of it, please?

Is the sidestep good enough to outweigh the damage and bar buff? I think I remember a quick rolling step but I'm not sure how significant that defensive maneuver is.
As far as I know, you can buy the Budokai HD Collection for PS3, but I don't think you can buy it from the PS Store. You'd be better off getting a PS2 with the game, or even better an emulator running on PC.
If you can find it, the hd collection is awesome, nothing really new there, but the HD graphics are appreciate. I lost my copy, but ive still got my ps2 version and have been craving a few games of budokai 3

That's the optional battle point, everyone have it and it can have different colors (red, yellow, green).

base form Super Buu is the best because of his sidestep, which he loses after absorb

Yes, it always sets both players healths to 0.1, the only way to survive is to win the minigame/struggle.
Ultimates in this game are really easy to avoid and if they combo'd you into this then they took a huge risk of blowing the match due to missing a bar

I thought all moves scaled in fighting games whether it is one hit or not.
In this game, almost every move scales, but there are several exception.
