Hey man! I am glad you like the review! 🙂 Yeah, I am finally back on the track and I am planning to do more videos soon while posting the regular cover videos. Trying to do my best! Thank you for the support and good vibe! 🙏
Sounds perfect mate. There is one note slightly different in the outro, 7th fret on the D instead of 9th. But all in all you have obviously nailed his tone and this cover. I sincerely appreciate the breakdown of your setup!
Thank you so much! Yeah I guess it is inevitable to do a real 99% cover of this 😄 But maybe it is little bit authentic that way! More covers are yet to come!
great work man ! Keep pushing, it's great to see a passionate guy spreading his love for the peppers to others. Hope you have a nice day. waiting for the next breakdown !
Well, the 2 Fuzz pedals are really distinct and react differently. For the Stadium Arcadium solos and stuff, it is better to use the nasty cheezy DS-2 with the biting and saturated Fuzzrite. On the other hand, the Variac Fuzz is basically a Gypsy Fuzz with the added "Variac" control knob and this pedal sounds more gainy with more sustain and low-end. It is something completely different than the Fuzzrite if we compare the two. You can hear a lot of the SD-1, 78 Distortion & Variac Fuzz combination on Unlimited Love & The Dream Canteen. The distorted and lead sounds with solos are very different nowadays in terms of sound as John is not using the Fuzzrite & DS-2 anymore.
Wow, really glad I stumbled across your channel! Got a new sub for this. Quality content, love the breakdown from the sounds, to your pedalboard/amp settings to actually playing the song and providing your thoughts. I do have one question, how do you play and record through both the amps? I noticed the katana was set to 25W, so was just wondering, how you play with this setting over the 0.5W without it being too loud?
I am more than happy to welcome you buddy! The videos are not really top quality but having fun with all these things is the main goal. Thank you so much for your kind feedback! I record both amps with 2x SM57 Dynamic microphones. As you can see I do not really crank up volumes on either of these amps & the Katana is a very silent amp on the 25W mode! For the room I record in, it is more than enough decent volume. I kinda found that sweet-spot with the settings you see in the video. I use these particular settings of both amps for every song I do (very little tweaks of volume / gain if necessary but ver rarely). 🙂
Really appreciate the informative response here, helped a lot. Yeah definitely keep it up, looking forward to the future vids. I honestly had to look twice when I seen the amount of subs, given these vids are better than a lot of the top channels. Great work👍🏻
Great tone man, it sounds 99% like John. I wish you can try run it on plexi with volume like John uses, it would be 100% authentic tone. Cheers from Slovakia :)
Oh man, thank you for your feedback and compliment! I really appreciate all of this support! Yeah, I will definitelly buy a 20W Plexi with the 20W Jubilee in the future! For now, I will do reviews with my current rig. 🙏
Increible 🤙🏻
I'm glad to see you're back to making more videos! Enjoying your review! Hope you are doing great!

Would the fuzzrite work as well as the variac fuzz?

I wash my hair every morning while taking a shower. And well, I have thick hair so… what else can I tell. 😅

Why there's a green light over Booster, when it's off ?
The Booster on the Boss Katana is actually on and is set to 09 : 00 o' clock. Its a pretty low clean boost.
Sounds great! Check us out "Chili Bros" YT channel, 11yo's Bass/Guitar RHCP covers.
Thank you so much! I will check it out for sure. 😉
