Just curious how the fuel pump works for you. I was considering on get the 670 for my build. I have seen before guys changing out the filter with a Honda filter when they first get the engine. I just got an envirospec pump tsg8040 in a 1inch gear drive that does 7.8 gpm bout 3500 psi is what I was told. So my next consideration was the crx680 but it's 19hp n not sure if I ll get the 3500. I got the pump but waiting on getting the motor til I get some more money in. Hondas are through the roof $$$. Right now I can't afford a Honda. Good luck with it, keep us updated.
Did this work for you, I am having an issue with my predator 670, I changed the pump to the Briggs and Stratton pump and I can only use my pressure washer for about 20 minutes and then I get a no crank no start. Is there some sort of safety feature on the engine why this is happening.
It’s starving for fuel. It would run 10-15 mins then shut off, I would have to go squeeze the prime bulb I put on it 2-3 times and it would fire back up and do it again. So I swapped it to a 12v fuel pump and haven’t had any issues so far.
@@KentuckyWashPros did you consider swapping fuel pumps ? I had a similar issue with my CRX and examined all the fuel lines and found they were kinked slightly near the fuel pump. I like your fix though if it works great idea
Can the ground wire just hook up right onto a metal truck bed? Or does it have to be touchijg the engine?
I believe it will need to be grounded to the battery or unless you have your battery ground to the truck 🤷🏻♂️
@@KentuckyWashPros[UPDATE BELOW] I ended up just screwing the ground into my water tank cage 😂😂🤙 works like a charm!
Update you need to wire the ground on the same ground that the battery is hooked into. 😂😂😂😂😂 Learn from my dumb ass.
Do you need to remove the pusle pump to use a fuel pump?
Nope just add it in line
Hey so I have the motor siting in the box with the factory filter on it. What size fuel line is it ? Quarter seems small to me is it 5/16?
Yes it needs a 5/16” fuel line
Did you remove the pulse pump altogether then and if so what did you do with the line from the manifold...plug it?
No I left the pulse pump in line.

Spend the money and get the Honda IMO. I'd get the CRX 680 over the Predator. There is a link to the fuel pump I used in the description.
@@KentuckyWashPros Yea bro I am gonna get the 680 from small engine warehouse $1099. + 119.00 for shipping. Thanks and good luck

It has worked perfectly for the last 8 months for me and still going strong.
I purchased the Predator 670 I need to purchase the 8gpm & gear is the shaft on the left or right side

Will it eventually flood the carb?
good question! personally, I put in a 2 PSI regulator inline. Ran for 65 hours so far and it's going great.
These are a low flow fuel pump. I’ve never flooded the carb
Any Updates??
Everything is running good, so far no issues
Why are you doing this?

@@seattleprowash5464 the fuel pump has been switched previously. I may need to check the fuels lines behind the plastic
@@seattleprowash5464it's a known issue specifically with the 670. super weak pump compared to what to needs. Easiest fix is adding the inline pump.
