Great Video! My Liberty 43 was just delivered 3 days ago. I have been hard on it, i scarified my fairly thick Bermuda yard and have also been slowly cutting it down in height as I move into the transition of a reel mower yard. Today the reel kept stopping on thicker grass. Because This machine is so simple and well thought out I was able to quickly disassemble the mower and find that the problem was the tension on the first belt in the chain. Thanks to this video I was able to easily tighten it up while enjoying a beer. Again, really easy to follow and thorough video.
My Liberty 43 is not mowing evenly? Clipping aggregate on one side of the bin. I can see the grass height is not level. What steps do I take to determine the problem and fix it?
Hi you need to adjust the cylinder to bottom blade on the side where you’re not filling the box ruclips.net/video/uutWddISZns/видео.html 11m10 on this video You will need to turn the screw a couple of clicks until it cuts paper cleanly
@@ALLETTMOWERSUK Oh, sorry, I should have mentioned the clipping issue was using the scarifier. So it had nothing to do with the blade alignment. The mower is not level using any cartridge. When I do use the cutting blade, the cut is not level from one side to the other. So it seems the mower height is higher on one side than the other. The blade is sharp and aligned against the metal piece that creates the scissors. The paper test is ok. I need to figure out what to adjust to get the entire mower level.
That day is now ! I have to tap / squeeze the turtle/ rabbit switch on the handle to get the reel and drive to move faster ? Sometimes the switch nob controls the speed but it's happening often now ? Any suggestions or a training video would be appreciated. Could that be the belts tension ? Now just today my reel stop turning, I will look at the belts on that tomorrow. That rabbit/ Tuttle switch might control motor speed ? Thanks
Why is it i can never find the solution to a mower problem some of these videos' are about as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike .How do you strip down and replace the roller on my classic 35s to stop it moving about from left to right ?
I can’t figure out why my reel keeps stalling. I’ve replaced the drive belt, the other 2 belts in the housing are in good shape and the tension is properly set. All plastic cogs have all their teeth, there does seem to be a bit of ‘play’ or wiggle room between the white wheel from the 6 blade and the green wheel in the side housing
It works fine when I start it on concrete but once it gets any resistance in the grass it stalls and makes the most awful grinding noise as if the cogs aren’t in time. I raised the HOC to 4 in the window and made sure the blades (which are slightly dull, going to backlap this afternoon) are set so they spin without too much rubbing on the bed knife but can also cut some paper. I’m in the States btw (NC)
@@Thehillest Hi normally when it is stalling it is either you have it set too deep in your lawn or the cylinder is set too tight to the bottom blade. The grinding noise could be your cogs. I suggest emailing technical@allett.co.uk if these suggestions don't help and Ian can give you some advice. Make sure you are not working on grass that is too long

we have a network of dealers for repairs- we don't advise anyone to strip down their mower. If you need technical support email technical@allett.co.uk
ps this is a belt video- not a rear roller video

Wher can i buy a motor drive belt? Mine is worn out
Where are you based?
I went to eBay! Paid the same in shipping as the belt since I’m in the states, but it was worth getting the OEM part!
