Went to the PGA Superstore to try this and 20 other putters out, it’s good. Liked the white hot face the most, performance wise mallet > blade >>double wide blade for me. I really wanted the blade to come out on top but some how the mallet just performed better. If anything the takeaway for me was within 1 ft from 15-25ft for 2 putt (with several lip outs), and deadly within 6-7ft. Haven’t pulled the trigger yet because I need to convince myself the blade would work 😂
Had an expensive habit of collecting putters, mostly 8802 style. Had difficulty lasting a whole year with the same putter. My game struggled. So I got a Flanigan-bilt Model 64. Figured I spent so much on it, I'll make it my permanent putter & stop the cycle. Just like any putter, the first year was a learning curve, but settled in nicely. Never changing again.
It was time for me a new putter so I bought one. I actually think the feel is a little firmer than the older white hot just based on the aluminum insert also being there. I think it feel great. I think time will only tell if it helps. Really hard to test.
I think Mr.Short likes the balance of the new putter. it's so close to the Gamer Newport. Prices of Putters have jumped up. I bought 2 80's Ping Anser bronze putters at a used Play-it-Again Store for $40 each, and I am happy. Maybe if these expensive new tech putters end up in a Bin, at 80% off MSRP. I like advanced tech, but think the prices are too high. Excellent video. :)
Just got fitted for one. Went through every model and all different putters. They hooked me up to a data tracker and the AI One Cruiser Doublewide (counterbalance putter that’s 38”) was the one I had the best stats with. So I used the numbers and left with that TODAY. They custom ordered the specific loft and shaft and I can’t wait for it to come in.
Just ordered the Odyssey AI One CH 7 Friday night. Personally that insert felt better to me than the Milled Version. The Milled version was too metal sounding and too firm feeling for my liking. The deep blue with the white line looks fantastic. I currently play the PING Sigma G putter and finally found a putter that I think is better. Cant wait for it to arrive. I noticed my takeway was more steady with the CH7 over my Ping Sigma G(blade style), due to the shape and weight.
Tiger Woods, the disputed best golfer of all time used the same putter for the majority of his career. That should be the end of the conversation. Lol. Get a putter fitting and get use to it. The best putters I know are the guys who have had the same putter for decades But still another great video, Mr. Fisher.
@@valusmemIncrease the peace❤ i hate the hate in YT golf space. Everybody can have there say and share an opinon and upload 7 videos a day if they want to 😊
I got a Meridian putter off their demo sale as a an early Christmas present to myself. It has an Anser head, but it’s milled and has three nice small alignment lines. No AI, no insert, just a shape I trust with a comfortable grip. The more I practice, the better this putter works😂
Have a Taylormade TP Hydroblast DelMonte 7; other than color it's nearly identical. It comes down to exactly what you said it's what you're most comfortable with.
Practice practice practice is the key. But if I could cut 3-4 putts off of every round 😮. I’ve been putting pretty good for me lately with more time devoted to real practice with my putter but maybe it’s time to look at this one.
I currently game an Odyssey double wide from the Stroke Lab series. It has the same 15gram weights, but has a different insert. I can’t imagine the newer version being 20% better.
I found that I'm not a big fan of putters with an insert. My set came with an odyssey and after trying my buddies milled face putter it just felt better to me, crisper and felt more controlled. Ditched mine for the same one he has which is the tommy armour impact no 1. Felt it was a good price for the performance. Tried others but still found my way back to that one.
If U believe that ul believe anything. Having a putter that suits your stroke will help but the only thing that will save you 3-4 strokes per round off your putting is called practice
I tried these putters at my local golf store. I couldn’t make them work. I’m pretty sure a fitting would be needed to straighten things out. After trying them, I tried my gamer at the store and did much better.
Putting is super tough... if there is a break you must get the line and the pace spot on, especially the pace, because you can choose different lines and vary the pace and still make it.. If you send the ball on your chosen line and the pace isn't spot on it's a miss... So many putts go in, that were pulled or pushed, but the pace was off and that allowed the ball to go in. If you like the weight and balance of a putter, save your money, you will hole as many putts as the very latest tech...
If a new putter makes you putt better, it's because you're excited to have a new putter and you practice more than 3 minutes before your round starts. And if that's what it takes to get you to practice then it will help. Otherwise just go practice with your current gamer. And maybe take a lesson and make sure set up and mechanics are good
So you're saying technology doesn't ever produce observable results? Having a variable thickness face that is more forgiving on mishits is exactly what amateurs should be using, and it works. That's why you aren't hitting persimmon woods and playing a balata ball anymore.
I find I don't have a lot of 3-putts when I get the ball closer to the hole right off the bat. Plus, if one cannot read the greens, no putter is going to help you.
I tried these at the store not know a DAMN thing about putters trying mallets, blades, at different prices. And this one just clicked for me. Researching before I spend that much money
All putters are the same, by the same token, they are all different. Touch and feel, green speed. The problem I have, its always the pro's and scratch golfers trying to sell a product? New concept, who is going to be first. Take your product to Poe dunk america, grab a subject at random, or subjects, NOW, have a go? Nice video as always. You can catch us at Valley GC, march to October at four pm, on sundays? 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Saw it independently robot tested - outperformed others. So we know it’s legit. They milled even white hot face to make it “less hot”. I wish it had same paint lines (with line to ball) as Versa line but in this dark blue. Tested many times - sold my Scotty, now gaming Ai Doublewide. My strokes gained for putting has increased. What more can I ask for.
No it won't!!!!!!! It is the Indian not the arrow that make more putts. It is called Practice. Doesn't matter what putter you use. Spending hundreds of dollars on fancy putters and putting aids are a joke. I have an inexpensive putter and practice with it every day and the results, I putt very well. End of Story.
This is true. For those who don't practice, buying equipment is mostly vanity. It is also true that if you practice, you will be able to notice the difference between equipment that fits and equipment that doesn't.
I believe you are using "fuzzy math". The 20% closer claim from the manufacturer means the ball will finish 20% closer to the hole, like 8 inches instead of 10 inches. NOT as if you are putting from 20% closer to the hole...and I believe you know that! Also, breaking a rule is not the same as CHEATING unless you do it on purpose, or realize later you broke a rule and don't report it. (from a previous video)
Good video! Incorrect math. Odyssey is not claiming that your results will respond as if you are 2’ closer. The 20% improvement comes from being 20% closer. If your average miss is 30”, then with their putter you should be 6” closer, or 24”.
Step 1 to benefiting from this expensive putter is to miss the sweet spot...relatively easy to do on long putts. Just like blades vs crazy forgiving irons: do you want forgiveness b/c you aren't good enough to hit the center, or you want to come up short on mishits so you can try to develop a better stroke? Good advice to practice, but same could be said for 200cc driver. AI putter too $$$ for me so I plan not to try it...maybe a fool not parting with his money.
This is just the latest "gimmick" to separate you from your hard earned money. NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING will help you get closer or make more putts than PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE and more PRACTICE. The putter is the most often used club in your bag, and oddly enough the least practiced club. Appreciate the reviews, but I'll stick with my old Titleist putter.
Went to the PGA Superstore to try this and 20 other putters out, it’s good. Liked the white hot face the most, performance wise mallet > blade >>double wide blade for me. I really wanted the blade to come out on top but some how the mallet just performed better.

Just bought the #7 head of this and I love it. Upgraded from a very old White Hot and I can already tell a difference.
Never changing again.
when they make a putter that reads the putt then i will be in bonus land!! - great info
It was time for me a new putter so I bought one. I actually think the feel is a little firmer than the older white hot just based on the aluminum insert also being there. I think it feel great. I think time will only tell if it helps. Really hard to test.

Looks to be a similar shape to my Scotty SS Squareback 2. But probably a bit less expensive!
Just got fitted for one. Went through every model and all different putters. You're not Tiger. Take the advantages where you can get them. Silly argument...

@@daveeastcott9323 no kidding 😂🤣
Rotella has saved me a couple per round too Id say.
You missed the point with the 20% closer. It states that the ball will be 20% closer on miss hits, not that you will stand 20% closer.
Switch to lab golf mezz broomstick and save 6 or more putts per round
Nice video mate :)
Really love the milled version of this putter too
Enjoyed the video as always, as far as the putter I still have to try it
The original Odyssey DualForce 660 heel shafted insert-faced putter is STILL in my bag after 25 years.
I tried these putters at my local golf store. I couldn’t make them work. I’m pretty sure a fitting would be needed to straighten things out. After trying them, I tried my gamer at the store and did much better.

Great analysis and critique.
What should i charge for my spider Sr? Played maybe 1-2 seasons with it great shape and cover. I want to switch to a blade.
I have the Seven-T milled face. Had 25 putts on 18 holes with it. My average is 30.
Nice
AI? Is this the new marketing equivalent to X-treme back in the 90s?

Marketing HYPE
Underrated man right here
I find I don't have a lot of 3-putts when I get the ball closer to the hole right off the bat. Plus, if one cannot read the greens, no putter is going to help you.
Question… on the same putting stroke does the wider blade roll out more the the traditional one?
Valley GC, Columbiana, Oh. Four pm sundays.
An old golf coach once told me, long ago, that "you can never buy a game." It was true then and it's true now.
Next year they'll release one made out of unobtainium and unicorn hooves.
yes
I tried these at the store not know a DAMN thing about putters trying mallets, blades, at different prices. And this one just clicked for me. Researching before I spend that much money
AI, the most over-used term in the world right now.
100000000%
Can you give the dimensions of the removable weights? And will any of the Scotty weights work?
Been gaming one for about a couple weeks. It is legit. I am putting better than ever and can tell when I strike off center that the ball rolls true
All putters are the same, by the same token, they are all different. Touch and feel, green speed.

Folks, keep your putter and spend the money on putting distance control and green reading lessons.
It’s mostly the stroke that counts
Snake oil is a waste of money just like these over hyped ai putters, no thanks. Just practice it's free.
I have the same putter and love it. ⛳️❤️

Purchased the Rossie version of this putter the week it came out and sent it back after 2 rounds. Nothing beats my Evenroll ER2
Matt, are you still using the Destiny putter? 😂
I love my 40yr old ping zing 2 putter
I like it
Junk

It all comes down the person holding the putter and the stroke.

Dope!
(Hard for a 60-sumthin year old like me to say aloud)
It would have been better if its a high handicapper who will test the club
1 of the best putters in life I know uses a 0 iron to putt with.
Step 1 to benefiting from this expensive putter is to miss the sweet spot...relatively easy to do on long putts. If Billie Horschel could shave 1 stroke off each round he'd go from 120th in scoring average up to top 20.
If he could save 2 strokes he'd be Rahm.
that scotty performed much better and feels/sounds better. Go back to it.

None ... unless it's an armlock and less than $150.
No high priced new putter will save you any shots. 3-4 shots per round. lol. Just bs.
Putter is never going to help. Practice will though
