- A video of the family. Matadi (silverback and lovely daddy), Mayani and Thandie, Mambele and daughter baby 'V' - 9 days old in the video and Amahoro. I can't get enough of watching this group, and I've seen you don't get enough of it too. So enjoy!
Oh btw! Somehow Mayani is always somewhere in the background but not that visible in my videos lately. She is a real good mom for Thandie. Thandie is very adventurous and goes whenever she gets the chance. I read a lot of comments with worries about her being so independent. No worries, she's still with mommy and drinks enough :)!

This is the best gorilla family of them all. They seem to get along really well.
Matadi is so patient and gentle with his baby girl. I can’t wait to watch him bonding with baby V.

Thandie the fearless takes food from daddy Matadi's mouth! She's quite smart, knows how to get water from the spigot. Thandie and "V" only a year apart, they'll have so much fun together and be good company for each other! Amahoro is the resident house mother....LOL
This video just popped up and I’m glad it did! I love Gorillas, and I’m not familiar with this group so I will be visiting daily 🥰 I haven’t seen anyone brave enough to take food out of a silverbacks mouth 😳 so this little one have some guts LOL!

It is a real pleasure to watch the gorillas in Antwerpen zoo. Th stuff there seems to have a great knockledge about what they need. I wish the Momotaro-family in Kyoto would have the same nice life as here.

I like the way the mother holds on to her baby. This is great for bonding and protection. I am old school when it comes to babies. I have noticed several of my friends that let lots of people hold their babies. I don,'t care for this, but I have to keep my mouth shut. (This was before Covid19)

Thank God for Zoo's and wild life sanctuaries. If these Gorillas had stayed in the wild in Africa they would have become bush meat or sold as pets till they are too big. Zoo's are not ideal but it preserves the various species of animal. They get poached in Africa or hunted in canned hunting situations to the highest bidder. Nothing on earth is as it should be. Recently two baby Elephants were murdered by two rich American hunters. They posed with the dead babies in photographs, very proud of themselves. With love and respect from South Africa. 14th August 2020.

Will the zoo give Thandie milk from bottle since new baby V born. Looked like Thandie was having hard time at water spicket? Just asking. I’m sure she will be taken care of. Both babies are adorable. God is so amazing. Love when new babies are born.

Also towards the end of this, Thandie got curious n looks like she too wanted to be interviewed. LOL She's so cute walking and running around. Baby V sleeping in her mom's arms.
They tell in the video about how the birth went (went just as it should be). The umbilical cord fell off after one day (so she carried it for quite long with her and the baby). They tell about how thandie grew up and when the visitors can expect to see the baby on its own (the first three months it will be only with mom probably). They tell about Matadi, that he's a good daddy. They also tell about the special bound between Amahoro and Thandie and that it is very special. And ofc they tell at the end that baby 'V' is a girl!
