I think being able to graduate after paying and dedicating many years of their young life is a right. If a college cancels a graduation because of the "right" of others to be belligerent, than I agree with Mr. Ford. Look forward. And by that I mean that the college should forgive most, if not all of the debt for those who missed their graduation (not the agitators). And for those who paid ahead, refund their money. And then the college should sue the protestors. Make them have to defend their position in court.
They are canceling the ceremony.. people still graduate.
The silly little ceremony means nothing. Those who qualified for graduation still get their degree; there is no refund that has any relevance.

Brown, Rutgers (a public university), and Northwestern University all promised the 1-2% of their student protesting they would give scholarships to Palestinians and hire Palestinian faculty.
The administration of those schools should give up their seven-figure salaries and benefits and let effective administrators clean up the school - administrators who prioritize education over false history, false casualty numbers, and false propaganda.
Have these schools figured out where they will store the tents for the next policy students don't want? Maybe the next encampment will be over the policy requiring academic honesty.
