Finally, The all New Yamaha Genos 2 will be announced on then 15th November 2023. WOW! Worth the long and enguish wait for the replacement of the mighty original Genos. I seem to think that it will be a involution from the original rather than resolutional! Either way, it will be a giant step forward in technology, most probably a much refined AWM2 and hopefully a more realistic styles that would knock your socks off :) Yamaha for me is a life saver as I have been playing them since 1983. Thank you goes to you Leigh Wilbraham as you are indeed a beacon of inspiration and total dedication towards this mighty beast.
Excellent demonstration of creating a style Leigh. Looking forward to the next part. Anybody watching this video who has not subscribed to his patron channel, I recommend you do. We'll worth the the money 🙂
Thank you, Leigh. Another excellent video, very well explained. Looking forward to Part 3 where you show us how to create intros. I have a number of styles in my library ( 'Pretty woman' by Roy Orbison, 'Cherish' by Kool and the Gang.....etc) with very distinctive, unique bars of introduction. I would really love to know how these were created so that I can produce my own.
Hi Leigh, this video is so incredibly helpful. Saw it and tried to create a Dance-Style in my SX 900. Okay, I‘m not (yet) as quick as you but it worked fine. You make it look so easy, that‘s kind of infectious 😊 Can‘t wait for the next part. I struggle a little bit with NTR, Root fixed or Melody and that stuff. Perhaps you can make a video about that someday. Would be great! Love your channel. Take care. Karsten from Germany
Thank you Leigh for taking the time to show us how to create a style, you do make it look easy and I wish I had 10% of your talent. I'm looking forward to the next part . Would it be possible to also show how you can modify/personalise existing styles and make them your own. Thanks again
Thank you for this video! I have had my Genos 1 for several years and have been composing my own tunes on it. 75 so far. But I am running out of ways to alter the native Styles to make their each sound a little different. I would now like to create my own Styles and truly appreciate not only that you've shown how to do that, you've done it in a way that is easy to understand!
I Pick one of these up for a great price has a lot of cosmetic damage but it works great. I'm into trap/trance music and I always thought of arrangers keyboards as more "Barry Manilow". So I'm looking to adopt this for my taste thanks for the videos.
Nice explanation, I learned some things. One thing I haven't found recently is how to change the chord that's being recorded (defaults to C). Sometimes you know the notes for a given chord but not the equivalent in C and you're not interested in them. I found that once but couldn't since.
Hi Leigh, great video on style creation. It takes my knowledge of the Genos to a new level, will work on your method while looking forward to your next video.
Thanks ao much for your videos there really helpful for me as im planning to give up on my korg pa4x and switch to yamaha genos have you got s video on importing sounds from the computer and sampling it?

Is there any indian percussion kits available ?
There are expansion packs but not sure if there is a dedicated Indian pack.
Tried creating an intro following tutorial but on play back the phase didn’t go with the chord I started with?
Must record intros in the key of C
