One of best Nazi war film with excellent fully active of military exercise scenes along the excited "heavy water sabotage", love the two lead stars Kirk & Richard.
Apparently, Kirk Douglas and director Anthony Mann patched up their differences from Spartacus in 1960 (Douglas fired Mann) to produce this really good movie.
Imao sam informaciju o tom događaju s DVD-diska iz normalne prodaje, ali nisam vjerovao da je Norrveška imala takve ahtinacističke heroje o kojima se mogu snimiti igrani filmovi.
great film, but...as much as I love Malcom Arnold,,his music just does not work in this film...I think Dimitri Tiomkin should have written the music for this...although, then it would seem even more like Guns of Navaronne than it did
Tiomkin's score for "The Guns of Navarone" was among his best. The score which made him a superstar was in 1937, "Lost Horizon." At that time, he was friends with director Frank Capra, who gave him a chance. The rest, as they say, was history.

What a great film 🎥 the 60s and 70's were two amazing decades for film making. Rip Kirk Douglas and Richard Harris
A True story. A few years ago, divers retrieved some barrels. They had heavy water in them from German production at the factory .
Amazing movie, must watch for all history lovers.
Great film - thanks for making it available.

ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS 🎥🍿💓
*_E X C E L L E N T_* "Oldie But Goody"..... where the overall plot scenario *IS* histrionically accurate..... TOO. 👍

I agree a great movie watch it before it goes away
Some heroes will never be forgotten. ^^^
could you add night in paradise 1946, gallant blade 1948, little egypt 1951, flame of calcutta 1953
I saw this movie. At the Base movie theater on a Sunday matinee. Can't remember the year. Late 60s, early 70s.
I immersed myself in the thrilling action of 'The Heroes of Telemark'...and I'm better for it.
1:20ish awesome skiing scenes. Great filming and skiing talents.
"The Heavy Water War" is much, much better.
The Malcolm Arnold Score sounds very much like "The Bridge on the River Kwai" No?
It is almost like canyons of Navarone my dad liked these movies so do I
The guns of Navarone
Love this movie

Sleazy.
1:18 Sorry, have to comment how stupid the writers was not to have them shoot at the damn plane instead of skiing away from it.
1:40ish in reality it would’ve made more sense to disable the train/railroad tracks.

Part of the dialogue of this film was eating Nazi food. What nonsense.
❤❤❤❤❤🤟
So far from the truth, Hollywood at its worst. The real story was perfect, this is just so much fluff.
