Exactly, my daughter went to a PWI her first year and she was miserable. Then she transferred to a HBCU, where she finished, totally different on her mentally, and she came out being very proud and unapologetically black which was a plus. I would recommend black people going to HBCU's.

HBCUs are great! I would’ve loved to have attended a hbcu. Unfortunately, hbcus aren’t offering the same financial aid packages as PWIs because of lack of funding. When I applied to Xavier and Spellman, they offered me little or nothing to attend. I completely understand they don’t have the same funding to do so but, when it comes to me taking out loans to go to an hbcu vs. going to a PWI for almost free, I gotta go where it’s free 🤷🏾♀️ I do hope that funding is increased for HBCUs so that other black students don’t have to make that difficult decision.

I was an early admit to Hampton, yet they only offered me student loans even tho my mom was a single parent with 3 other kids at home.and her income was just working class. I worked in a haunted house at my local community center, when I was in high school. My character was Dr. Jekyll and the haunted house organizer gave me a real dagger. That RICO charge is what they give drug kingpins. I feel like the prosecutors were only focused on getting “the big fish” and in order to get that indictment they probably decided to forgo charges for others in order to get them to testify. Anyone involved should be charged period. Everyone from his ex wife to his road managers to his assistance to the background singers everyone who facilitated in that mess need to be held accountable and do some time, especially those parents who knowingly let their child go with him.
