So I went back and walked through my life again, this time, not looking for blame or fingers to point, but with a more honest desire to achieve some understanding... I'm teaching my kids to believe in themselves, find that thing they love and go after it with everything.... I'll be right there with them. There is no other feeling that even comes close. I hope anyone who has a hard time looking into mirrors, finds some understanding, and some self forgiveness. That's what this song speaks to me. I'm still standing. I've done some good, I've done some bad, I'd change most of the bad too, probably all of it, if I could go back. I can't. The only thing I can change is my perspective and attitude. You rock Chris. He was a friend with benefits 1980-83. He was gorgeous back then. A bit rough now but after 44 years I am as well lol. I met him when I was 19 and he was 22. Any time his band was in town playing a party we hooked up. I even took him home to meet my mother lol. I moved in '83 and never saw him again. Some of the funnest times of my life.

I spent some time listening to this song several times over and over and i couldnt help but feel like this song gets me.i am what i am. Im tired of trying to please people. I may spend the rest of my days alone but at least i am what i am. I can rest my mentally exhausted head alite bit better at night. Thanks chris.
