Likely a different guitar than the one Andrew "blotched" the dark peripheral finish on. The one here is much more evenly finished. On other vids you'll see the accidental finish. No matter to me, they all sound great. Still seeking the chance to see them live.
Best duo in America, bar none. I've seen them live once in Lewisburg, WV, and it won't be the last time I see them live this year, either, if I have anything to say about it. What an incredible musical treat they are. Way off the beaten path, hard to categorize, and you can listen to them all day without tiring of them, which is the highest compliment any music group can receive. They don't have a "B" side.

This was only a few years into their time being together and making music----as I write this---it is six years later in 2017 and time has only gone to show---they are a great combined talent----glad to see music done in the earlier part of their career--I did not "find" them until 2016 when their fifth CD came out, Blindfaller. I have yet to see them perform live, but hope to get too soon....
Love the way Emily knows when to almost just whisper those harmonies, and bend them and swell them like the bow on her violin. I'm gonna buy all your albums right now !! I've always been so in love with Gillian and David, but, you are right up there with them. Wow !!

Saw them @ Deerfields a few years ago, and they were awesome! Seen them a few times since. To me they are the best duo out there- beautiful playing, singing, & tone. Gives me chills when I hear them! -Gator.

It is hard to imagine anyone not liking this duo--I guess if you are stuck on thinking that "real music" is the pop crap that comes from the big media outlets and you only listen to commercial radio stations--but if you know, like and appreciate REAL MUSIC---then what this duo does and many others---then you realize it is wonderful and REAL MUSIC!!!!
Ever heard about "pearls before swine"? If you try to educate swine, you just tick them off. Ignore & steer clear of them. I'm just too busy listening to Emily & Andrew (and Josh now).
Andrew worked at Griggs Guitar in Chapel Hill and built the guitar as a personal project. It looks a little odd but I love the dry, woody tone. It's a focused sound and plays well the four stringed instruments. Andrew and Emily share the one guitar when on the road.

Hollywood did how many seasons on a popular show called "Nashville" but had no time to feature this genuinely pure act.
