I really appreciate your videos for my MSP job, as well as my own personal home office / home lab. You’ve encouraged me to learn more on my own and I’ve enjoyed it more.

Thank you Tom, not only for the great information but the willingness to share it and enthusiasm you have for it. Not too common in this industry, so I definitely wanted to share my appreciation. I’m 1 year into starting my own IT consulting company next month, and been in IT for 15 years prior to that. Your channel along with Chris Sherwood’s have been my two go to sources on RUclips. I watch every video I get a chance to, even on products or topics I have never worked with. You make everything interesting and fun to learn about. Keep it up and thank you again!

Hello! Fellow small business IT firm operator here and thank you so much for this video! Great content and really helps spread an important message to the community about the power of community and sharing and what that means for the IT industry. Keep doing great stuff!

Yep content marketing is still under-rated. No better way to show people you know what you're doing than literally showing them what you do lol.
For a lot of customers I imagine they care way more about trust and getting quality service than just the lowest price from some random ad.

I have enjoyed your content and it has helped me figure out my own personal PFSense and Ubiquiti networks setup at home. When the pandemic started and I had all the family home, my network was able to handle all the devices that my 4 kids, working wife, and my own working needs all at the same time without any down time or issue with bandwidth or connectivity. Thank you for producing such valuable content!

Little do outside people understand the IT space is so large and complex. From digging into a complex exchange server issue with a corrupted 348gb data store. To simply setting up a simple server. You never stop learning and expanding your knowledge.

I have learned so much from you and even bought my first Ubiquiti system because of you. Because of you, my wife doesn't complain about our old crappy Wifi dropping out, and my son can watch Mickey Mouse daily without it buffering. (True stories BTW). You da man and I thank you.

Experts give their best away for free because they understand knowledge isn't what's valuable: it's the wisdom of knowing when and how to apply given knowledge that makes money. ideas are cheap. Execution is almost everything.

Tom, always enjoy watching your videos. I stumbled across your channel around the time the virus shut the majority things down. It was at that point that I was determined to expand my knowledge in networking. I've been in IT for way too longer than I'd like to admit. But because of the passion that you have with sharing knowledge, it has opened so many doors for me to improve on. So, thank you for creating RUclips videos.

I would syggest to make IPv6 content too, like for example, how to use Wireguard for P2P links using /31 netmask for IPv4 aswell /126 prefixes for IPv6 and things like that.
P.S Please enable IPv6 support on your website. I can see that's hosted on Digital Ocean so that means, it should have IPv6 support too.

I am curious about the economics of what you get paid from RUclips for your content? You don't have to be specific about numbers but I am curious how that contributes to your business revenue and whether it is sizeable or just icing on the cake so to speak?

    • @LAWRENCESYSTEMS

More like icing, the big dollars come from the consulting side.
