- An invitation issue has sparked some tension in Boston City Hall after an email went out to all city councilors about a holiday party when it was only meant for councilors of color. Mayor Michelle Wu has since apologized.
Nothing says Merry Christmas more than discrimination. Good Job, Michelle.

Better question that “journalists” should be asking: are public funds or facilities being used for racially segregated events? Because that could likely be unlawful.

Only a year ago she was caught making an anti-white joke about Boston's public employee unions. Now she's excluding ONLY the people she derided from an event; I wonder if the event is in a public or private facility. Has she wished away the 14th amendment? And what about her white husband? Is he also persona non grata? Can he at least eat under the table, or maybe with the kitchen help?
Even if this was an honest mistake, this Mayor is dividing the public.

That holiday party is DEI. Discrimination based on race is one of DEI's solutions to societal issues.

How there is a Mayor who doesn’t know advocates against racism and discrimination like MLK was against segregation and died longing for that day their dream became a reality, and here we have a Mayor like this promoting segregation based on race. She needs to ask how she would feel if she accidentally got an invitation that was meant for whites or men only. Don’t tell me this is different, or that folks would say it’s no big deal.

Mayor Wu said they are plenty of other parties/events over the holidays where all members will celebrate together. Just curious...parties and events are expensive, do they have MANY parties for the holiday season? Are all these parties funded by public taxpayer money? Corporations have only one holiday party. The city of Boston office should have only one holiday party that is funded by city's budget. Rest of the holiday parties should be at the expense of those attending and not be from the city's budget aka taxpayers dollars!

When is the demonstration of ALL races coming together in integrity outside of city hall holding her accountable and demanding her resignation? Dumbing down dismissively this divisive injustice is an abusive technique to get you to acquiesce to more dismissive breakdowns of humanity down the road.
