    **Important Notes**
    1) Please listen to what I say during the disclaimer about my gear choices for my party members, as well as what I say about the attack stat on weapons in Persona titles when I get to the gear section -- I don't want to have to be mean.
    2) With regards to the section where I mention Akihiko's Theurgy mistranslation: I've seen online that some people claim Mitsuru's Theurgy also works the same way Akihiko's does -- that is, a debuff/ailment only needs to be on an enemy for her to get a boost in Theurgy gauge gain; however, this is not the case. The Japanese for Akihiko and Mitsuru's Theurgies are worded very differently, with Mitsuru's clearly stating that the boost happens when she applies a status ailment or debuffs an enemy and Akihiko's stating that the boost happens when his turn comes around and he has a buff on him.
    For context (JP -> My Translation):
    Akihiko: 戦場で行動する時、自身が強化されていると闘志が湧き上がっていく (TL: At the start of Akihiko's turn in battle, his fighting spirit rises if he has a buff on himself).
    Mitsuru: 敵を弱体化したり状態異常にすることで影時間を消す闘志が燃える (TL: Whenever Mitsuru applies a debuff or status ailment to an enemy, her burning desire to erase the Dark Hour intensifies).
    When I first discovered that Akihiko's Theurgy boost condition was mistranslated I double-checked to make sure that others weren't as well and only Akihiko's was mistranslated. I then conducted my own testing of every character's Theurgy just to be safe and my personal testing lines up with the Japanese text descriptions for each character.
    Extra note about Theurgy: Since I've heard people stating that all Theurgy attacks scale off of strength and magic, my testing shows that this is only the case for the MC and NOT for party members -- that, or the contribution by one of the two stats (for example MAG with Mitsuru) is so negligible that even increasing that stat by 20 shows no noticeable increase in damage, effectively making them only scale off of one stat.
    3) For anyone wondering where I got a specific piece of equipment, everything is either from an Elizabeth request, a boss chest, or was crafted using gems and heart items. In many cases I don't remember exactly where pieces came from but none of them were random.
    4) And finally in case anyone was curious, my party for doing the Reaper legit was MC + Yukari, Mitsuru, and Ken; and my final end-game party was MC + Yukari, Mitsuru, and Akihiko.

      @@helpihavebats6392 Theurgy naturally rises every time a character takes there turn regardless of if the conditions are met. If you simply defend every turn your Theurgies will eventually fill up; the enemy having a debuff, having Charge/Concentrate, etc. has nothing to do with this increase. The boosts increase this amount if conditions are met or add another instance of the gauge increases beyond the standard amount you get each turn.

      Interesting! Thanks for this info! Haven’t heard about the mistranslation anywhere else. Looking forward to your SMT V:V content!

      Super late bump, but I am just now learning that debuff's apply to Mitsuru's Theurgy gain due to the mistranslation, but does this also apply to the crit chance amplifier of her characteristic? Or was it just her Theurgy that was mistranslated? Thank you in advance!

      @@R_C32 Just her Theurgy.

    Give Akihiko his strike amp gloves near the end of the game and a strike boost accessory. He out dps most of your team if hes buffed with this setup.

      As I said in the video, I didn't go out of my way to get the best gear on anyone except for Yukari due to there being 0 reasons to do so. That being said, if there was a reason to do so, I personally wouldn't consider gearing for max damage on your party members to be their best equipment.

      When I looked at everyone's skillset, I decided that my final Ken build would be without the inclusion of the Karn skills, however tho, since the build I made was long ago and I had put off P3R for a little while, after coming back to it, I kept them and removed Vile Assault, Kougaon and Dekaja. So the build now would be: Ziodyne, Makougaon, Mediarahan, Samarecarm, Tetrakarn, Makarakarn, Heat Riser and Light Amp

    Question, does Aigis’s personality stack with the Pierce boost passive? I would still say the weapon that gives her +5 stats & arms master would be more convenient to use.

    I give Fuuka the Spell Master accessory instead

      Yep, that's another option. I didn't find I used her abilities enough for that and decided to give her SP instead since it was enough; saved the Spell Master accessory for someone else.

    I thought theurgies were strength + magic?

    • @RozalinGaming
      @RozalinGaming  5 месяцев назад +3

      From my testing this is the case for the MC but not your party members -- Yukari's clearly scales off of magic, Junpei's off of strength, etc. Most makes sense except for Mitsuru's which scales off of her strength and not magic.

    Cool video, thanks for sharing. Been looking for ways to elevate my party and this is the kind of info I needed to add to my thought process.
    Wondering if you would also do a video on which party members you tend to bring, and which fights they are best for. I fell into a common pattern in my game but feel like I could do better, and want to hear more from other players about how they set themselves up.

      In my pinned comment I mention what my end-game party was. Outside of that, I brought the 3 lowest level party members besides Junpei.

    I always thought that "Critical Hate Up" on a weapon, only worked for normal attacks. So it also applies for the physical skills?

    • @RozalinGaming
      @RozalinGaming  5 месяцев назад +2

      The attack stat is normal attacks only, the passives work like passives you have on your Persona.
