Yeah same. I just watched the Azalea Banks interview and omg he was treating her like a dumb kid and telling her how to live her life. I was glad she stood up for herself and put him in his place. Just because you're old doesn't mean you have the right to tell younger people how to live their lives... shit! She didn't even ask for his help and he was forcing it down her throat. What a narcissist.
So nobody's going to speak on how they literally interrupted skrillex everytime he tried to speak, if it wasn't diplo it was Ebro. I actually watched this to hear more from Skrill, didn't happen. Lol
Sonny is so silent that whenever he starts talking I feel like someone should be like "Everyone shut up Skrillex is talking!" I wonder if he wanted to just get up and leave...if I were him I'd want to.
I loved what Diplo said about not caring about authenticity. i think in every genre people get too obsessed with people being real. If music is good and it touches you and makes you feel something then who cares who is doing it.
Thank You finally someone recognizes it the society is so focused on putting you in the group you belong to for example people say if you rap its hip hop if you used to be in punk rock stay in that place but what if you want to expand alot of people believe that you need to only stay with your group of people and not try to change anything the world needs a little change i'm not gonna sit and preach about how the world is going down the drain because even i sometimes do terrible things but what i dont understand is why cant we just make others feel good and just be free if it feels good endulge in the feeling because at the end of the day the only one you are supposed to please is your self and another thing why would you dislike or hate something just because its not what you're used to take a chance or you will be stuck in an old track replaying the same words what is so scary about taking a chance and a risk if you fail you failed but if want to stay in your winning stage you will get tired of it because you never won if you never failed and you'll never fly if you never jumped so try something new if music and art and all the other stuff make you happy then let your weird little heart flutter because dying sad is an eternity of misery and dying happy and satisfied is an eternity of joy and happy memories alot of you dont have to agree but its the truth and i love music of all type because there is happiness every where

I love how passionate they are about what they love to do in life. They keep it real, and are totally laid back. I wish i could interview them, i have a few questions myself about the industry and genres..
Hahaa I love how they talked about Riff Raff half the time. You can tell Ebro got salty when he found out Riff Raff really went on that date with Katy Perry.
Diplo says skrillex is the best drum designer wow tbh I like everything skrillex, mostly he's sound and mastering. He's a genius at sound design but even diplo is really good in fact they sound more or less the same and I think diplo has influenced skrillex music lately but yeah skrillex is kind of the best but I like both of them. They are the best of the best
Talking about music genres and cliques it's so true! Unless you do certain things and act a certain way you're not in. I think these guys are great they're busting the doors down.
I've been following Diplo and Skrillex and have been listening to their music for about 5 almost 6 years now. Amazing artists who make really creative and unique sounds. I have been inspired by them and their music. Haters, don't hate and open up your mentality to what's coming up next. Times are changing and we can bring together all these diversities using music. It's not our ethnicity that shapes up who we are, it's something we look for and believe in so just stay updated with the new new and I'm sure you'll find something that interests you and BOOM! You just joined the club!
your a ceaseless virgin. your mother left you. no one loves you. your friends all take snapchats of you drunk on the floor and they laugh at your body. Ebro talks about because he's passionate.
lllJoseLuislll I can't believe I'm about to drop knowledge on RUclips on a hiphop channel.. He's talking about boosting the fundamental in the snare drum, whatever it is. Usually 180hz - 220hz, classic technique, it basically brings out the resonant frequency. Make some tunes
RASI Rawss that's not what i mean by destroying a sample, knobhead. it's a good way to make a sample sound like shit. find a sample and use it, don't fuck with it. you aren't going to improve it.
I really enjoyed this interview, especially Ebro's sentiment about EDM artists like diplo actually being an excellent example of progressive hip hop. I think a lot of great points were made and I think it's time for "hip hop heads" to start embracing the new shit out there like RockyTravis Scott or Ratking because they're slowly pushing things forward for the culture. Rappers like Joey Badass, J.Cole, Logic etc. are great too as far as keeping the "old school" vibes alive
I don't think people realize how much of a legend diplo is...this nigga does reggae tracks, edm, and hip hop. Who else goes from working with Kanye, to Katy perry, to Madonna, to riff raff, to snoop dogg/ lion, to popcaan.
Even if you don't like the host, you have to admit it got some very insightful and awesome info out of skrill and diplo. The conversation flowed like a masterpiece imo.
Exactly! I was like what the fuck are they talking about? You see how whites take shit and dont give any credit. Soon they will take rap like that or try too.
And Kraftwerk inspired all house and techno. They're the Godfathers of Electronic music. Four white guys from Germany. So chill out on who started what first.
Well if you couldn't tell how awful skrillex was with his speech. Not saying he's just a bad spokesmen but diplo is obviously the better spokesmen, with a more unique vocabulary, and not saying like five times every sentence
I like how Diplo explains his artistic map and how it guides him through his creative voyage. Like, Diplo has vision and it's cool to see how his work transcends with each and every artist he works with. His work is literally a rainbow of musical genius. Initially I wasn't a Skrillex fan, but with the collabo of the two I've grown fond of him.. thanks to Diplo. Stay true to your roots and your ear for good music/producing, what ever 'genre' you fall under, I dig it. "Mish-mosh of trip-hop" -a cultrd cali girl

The subject of this video doesn’t even scratch the surface for true jack u fans from New York, so much love for the hip hop they played at Coney Island
Wow that's crazy of what Skrillex said about being apart of all of the types of kids at school. I'm in my second year of high school and I can hang out with all of the different groups of kids.

That moment when Diplo said that he's been DJ'ing for 15 years made me realize he's older than 28.. In 10 freaking years. He looks extremely young for his age, seriously.
i think EBRO really believes that everyone is a racist but himself... meanwhile he's the only one making every topic racial and everyone else is trying to avoid and redirect it. what the fuck is dude's problem? roflmao!
Ebro and Rosenberg need to let Diplo and Skrillex talk. Like we know and get it that they are aware of the roots and history of hip hop, but seeing their perspective is so interesting because they are all about the evolution, progression, diversity of music. Espicially mixing up some genra's, you just gotta give them a shot. Look at Diplo now with is own record label, mad descent, major lazer, frigging amazing and congrats on him on all his sucess, like he's been in the game for like close to 20 years now, he's a real artist doing shout outs to dance hall music, raggae, Jamaica. Skrillex to has so much side projects, amazing artist. Love their come up so far 💯👊❤️👌🏿👏🏿🎵👊🏿
Everyone is criticizing for interjecting but are failing to realize the truth in what they are saying and how well it actually goes with this interview. Everyone cut through because these guys are all on the same level musically and intellectually and probably could have made this interview last way longer than what is to be aired. Of course it is about the guest, but, everyone was so genuine in where they were coming from and good-humored that everyone fed off of each-other's energy. That (to me) resonates qualities of a GOOD interview; especially in an industry based off not just entertainment but ART and CULTURE. These are the kind of forward thinkers that push the mainstream media and entertainment into new directions and still maintain that integrity that everyone needs not to lose once they have become "successful". Great job guys!
