Is because their Socialism compliments their Capitalism and their Capitalism supports their Socialism. American's should stop thinking of these two economic options as an either/or choice. Biden and many other Democrats are more than willing to reach across the aisle. In fact, Biden has gotten several bipartisan bills through. It's mostly the Republicans that are intransigent about everything and are willing to hold the country hostage in order to get what they want (e.g. predictably refusing to raise the debt ceiling unless some irrelevant demands are met). However, a cooperative government with both sides working for the good of the country, even if they don't always agree what that is, requires honest politicians. That would require getting rid of the current system of allowing endless bribery of politicians under the name of "lobbyists," and getting rid of Citizens United and other regulations allowing unlimited money to be contributed by rich people and organizations. Current US election finance rules are an open invitation to corruption.

He would've inspired the largest voter turnout in U.S. history, with the biggest "coat-tails" effect in recent history. Would he have gotten all his policies passed through Congress? No, but he would've got more passed and more done than Clinton and Biden, if for no other reason than he would've swept more Dems into Congress and the Senate.

Like many of the real nice folks in Minnesota I am a Scandinavian-American. So I don't see the relationship between Socialism and Capitalism as an either/or choice. I see it as an and/also option. The reason why Scandinavia has such a great economy and why their populations’ rate happiest in the sociological datum. Is because their Socialism compliments their Capitalism and their Capitalism supports their Socialism. American's should stop thinking of these two economic options as an either/or choice. When they could also be a very effective and/also option. Which could benefit the entire society. Leading to increased happiness in the sociological datum. And even a decrease in American anger and resentment. For if the government were more responsive to the needs of the people the people might be less antagonistic toward each other.💙

Biden and many other Democrats are more than willing to reach across the aisle. In fact, Biden has gotten several bipartisan bills through. It's mostly the Republicans that are intransigent about everything and are willing to hold the country hostage in order to get what they want (e.g. predictably refusing to raise the debt ceiling unless some irrelevant demands are met). However, a cooperative government with both sides working for the good of the country, even if they don't always agree what that is, requires honest politicians. That would require getting rid of the current system of allowing endless bribery of politicians under the name of "lobbyists," and getting rid of Citizens United and other regulations allowing unlimited money to be contributed by rich people and organizations. Current US election finance rules are an open invitation to corruption.
