Amazingly tough job. The guy is obviously not a screamer Charlie Weiss, Sweet Lou H. He is low key on this forum but during games, practices and in the locker room.
Marcus completely understands basic football. When you run it opens up passing. Then when you can run it opens up passing lanes. But can’t seem to understand his starting QB can’t pass. I like freeman but like most fans now and days. Idk man I hope he’s our guy but his quotes from last game leaves me scratching my head if he’s even head coach material.

We dont owe anything to anybody if youre not getting the job done. We will pull guys on defense but dont want to step on the qbs toes. Im just over the experiment. Lets give one of our guys a shot to get things moving.
in my amateur opinion, freeman has fallen for the classic sunk cost fallacy. I think they've invested some 2 million dollars into Leonard and he believes to make the investment worth it he's gotta start just like Hartman last year. The problem is that the ankle injury has completely broken Leonards already suspect mechanics, and it doesn't look like we can fix them anytime soon. He's gotta learn to cut his losses, admit he wasted millions in NIL and move on. He's gotta look at the big picture and what costs more to the NIL, wasted money on a qb, or missing a playoff appearance because of some higher belief in a broken QB. At best they lose millions in the collective if they miss the playoffs, at worst freeman isn't around to live down the mistake.
All that being said, I hope leonard can turn it around, it was hard to watch our offense on Saturday, we have way too much talent to look that out of it. Tired of having to wait for a hole to open up to have a decent play. We should be dictating tempo, the offense looks flat and something or things have to change real soon.
Seen an oklahoma offense that was struggling and threw a freshman out there because they wanted to win. We aint doing that here. We are happy with just getting by i guess.
Marcus Freeman is no Frank Leahy. Coach Leahy never lost to Northern Illinois. Coach Leahy played and beat the best Teams in the country and not the weak teams in the ACC.☘️
If we are put in a position where we have to pass we are cooked. Sad to see defenses loading up the box because they know the passing ain't there. Loved the leonard bomb but the luck of the Irish was behind that throw. We've received a good sample size of how this offense operates and leonard just can't keep this offense moving. I understand freeman not throwing his guy under the bus but you have to see what we all see. About to be missing layups all season. We are losing 3 or 4 games with how this offense is operating.
Leonard is a great kid and he's the same qb he was at Duke, so I'm not bashing the kid and the boos on Saturday were for freeman and denbrock. We can't allow our offense to keep operating like this if we want to win.
Got a ND degree.....and down on depth chart. Gives room for kids who have outplayed him to play more snaps. Not selfish at all....realistic about who he is
I haven’t liked a lot of what Freeman has said recently. But I really liked his answer to the question about why he was so hard on Adon Shuler. He has the potential to be a tremendous coach. All the little things are there. You can see how much he cares and how important it is to him. He’s literally been wearing the loss to NIU since it happened. But I’m worried that won’t come to fruition. Here’s to hoping!
they cant beat louisville with the way theyve been playing…they have to start passing and catching better…run game is on fire but you cant win against top 10 teams that way…i hope they win but not seeing it with the way they have late starting offense
I am sorry, but that was a very selfish thing for Jaden Mickey to do! Nothing but love for Mickey, but I speak the truth and call it what it is! He is essentially quitting on his team in the middle of the season, when they need him the most. Notre Dame is already very thin at corner. He could have at the very least finished the season with his brothers! I don't like that mentality at all! Notre Dame better come out fired up and play physical, smart, disciplined, wise and tough football! This is revenge week! However, we have to show up consistently ready every week, against every single opponent, no matter what! Go Irish! Beat Louisville! God Bless you all!!!
He isn't quitting on anyone. Moore has passed him in depth chart. Everytime he's on the field, he draws a PI. He just can't compete with them. He will graduate from ND with a degree and go on to play football somewhere else. It won't impact this season. He has to think about himself at this point.
@@andrewscruggs5906 You and I have two very different opinions on what the term selfish and quitting on your team means. He still plays and the corner position is thin already. If he wants to transfer, he should have waited until after the season. Yes, he has the right to do it this way, but it still doesn't change the truth and the way I feel about it and many others feel about it too.
