Fun fact: the sound comes from unequal length headers. Not the motor itself. If you put unequal length headers on an I line 4, you get the same rumble.
My friend have a subaru STI and he offered me to drive it. MMAAANNN I had so much fun!! I love that car! I wish I could afford one. Great video. I like your driving 😊!
Yes ik, after I posted the video I watched through and noticed the same thing 😭. Must have got corrupted through the posting process , very frustrating
Hell yeah you posted! Gonna throw this on while I work this morning. Question- I also have an STI, stock, and thinking of just doing an exhaust and calling it a day. How has your experience with this been over time? Keep it up bro.
Love to hear it! In regards to ur question I absolutely love the TOMEI, it is a great exhaust for someone that is only going to to do a catback exhaust and is going to to leave the rest of the exhaust/engine components stock. If you modify downpipe/headers with a tomei it will get to loud imo. A tomei is the best exhaust for a stock system to really bring out that rumble and deep tone. I have 0 complaints and would buy a tomei 100%.
@@thatbluesube I agree. My buddy has a full TOMEI setup with equal-length headers (I believe he's catless as well) on his 2012, and we can hear him idling from three cities away. The car doesn't even sound that good as a result. My 2010 has an Invidia downpipe and an A'PEXi catback. It has the right amount of grizzly bear growl while still being relatively quiet.
This is the first time I see your channel on my feed, so I decided to give it a look. Nice footage. Mind sharing, what size and type of tires, you have on? At least in this video.
I recently just got a 2018 wrx , first manual but any tips for engine lugging ? This occurs when slowing down at a turn with a slope or dip. Im usally goin around 12mph but its to slow for second the engine starts lugging.
Yeah u gotta be careful with lugging these engines cuz they don’t like it at all. I’d recommend either trying to cary a bit more speed into the turn to remain in second and keep the revs high or potentially try and go down to first gear but that can be tricky and not the right move sometimes. It’s all about timing tbh!
@@thatbluesube i recently installed an aftermarket clutch assist spring, the oem one in my car was making it hard to drive.it was always bucking. i got into a habit holding the clutch down for a couple seconds in 2nd gear. ig Youd call it coasting. after completing the turn ill let off to the bite and give it light gas while in 2nd . not sure if that helps since im using clutch but it doesn't sound as bad. now my turning is more manageable. not plowing through the turns dangerously
Yes, I do drive it daily all year around. I coated the car with a 7 year graphene coating on the outside of the car to help with protection from the elements!
I have a stage 2 2019 WRX and one of my friend just recently got a 2020 WRX stock, he let me try his car and for my perpestive his clutch was strange. Like i drive a bully stage 2 clutch every day so i was feeling lost with how simple a stock one is. Like your STI sound
Nah funny story, after I got gas and turned my car off it reset all my t/c and si drive settings so when I went to do donuts I had t/c on and didn’t realize till after. I was pressed lol.
that sound of the subbie boxer engine is so LEGENDARY! Wish Subaru brought back the STI version and in HATCHBACK FORM! or WAGON in the USA
That's sound of inefficiency

Thank U Very Much For The Longer Extended Video As Well As The Donuts U Did Keep Em Coming PLZ 🥰😍🤩
It was about time you posted bro
Hahah yeah I had trouble with my phone handling the hour long video, it didn’t want to process it lol. (9 gb sized video)
That’s what I’m saying
as a Floridian and someone who drives a gli (fwd) this gives me anxiety lol LOVE this type of content TY! winter wonderland looks so cool
God I miss my 2017 STI.
If you dont mind me asking, what happened to it? Sell it?
@@Okujosaru nothing wrong with the car. I sold it after a year and got into a 2018 S4. Got a great deal on the S4 and always wanted one.
@@NEMotoGuy cool - yeah S4s are hella fun. Checked out your channel, def checking it out
Watching this because I’m waiting to buy mine soon
Let’s goooo!! Congrats bro!
The video is so satisfying
(23:38) Is it just me with the video and the sound is lagging? But even so, this is the best driving channel, I'm waiting for more of your videos👍🏻👍🏻🥰

Thank you bro 🙏
Where Is U From With All This Snow U Guy's Got Going On
Illinois
This is the first time I see your channel on my feed, so I decided to give it a look. Nice footage. Mind sharing, what size and type of tires, you have on? At least in this video.
Not sure on size but ik they are Bridgestone blizzaks
New to manual, do you release clutch with heel on the floor or off?
It depends on the “bite point” on the specific car, each car is different
I learned hovering your foot off the floor gives you better clutch control
This sounds fucking awesome im listening with beats headphones but still what kinda exhaust do u have or is ur car straight piped?
What are your settings for DCCD, SI Drive, and is traction control off?
Throughout most the video I had it in sport sharp with the dccd at auto with a bias to the rear and t/c off
Awesome vid, thank you for the quick response
@@thatbluesube nah story aint adding up..
Illinois? I want that shift knob for mine, but the price is crazy!
Yeah it is pricey but the quality and feel is amazing
Dope vids bro🙏🏻 Are you using an external mic to also get the exhaust sounds?
Nope! straight from iPhone
your car sounds really good! just wondering what exhaust you using and where can i get your alcantara steering wheel?
Steering wheel from subibros and during this video I had a tomei

Almost 24k
Nice! 38K on my 2021 STI its amazing@@thatbluesube

i unknowingly bought mine used with a stage 2 clutch already on it and when i eventually replaced it with stock, it took a lot of getting used to 😂
@@joshblouin7745 Yeah it's not the same, i prefer the stage 2 clutch tbh. Just now i am sad because i lose my baby, a jerk smash into it hard

bridgestone blizzaks for winter setup
