This episode for me marks BB’s transition from a great show to an all-time great show. There is an absurd amount of awesome things yet to come in the 2nd half of this series
Hank started this show as an arrogant ass. By this point we were all feeling for him and hoping he’d find a way to survive. This show is so well written. The arcs of so many characters have you flip flopping all over the place.
Two observations 1 having him lean on the table to get the photos of his hands was to put hank in a posture common in a street arrest with his hands on the hood of a car. Second observation There are two types of bullet resistant material , one is metal backed ceramic and kevlar panels (not seen here) that fit into pockets of the garment….the other is a clothe maybe from a synthetic fiber that imitates spider silk …. The clothe is made of muliple layers that have the threads running in different directions …. The upper layers resist penetration…. Spreading the energy outward …. Meanwhile the lower layers build up around the impact area like a lump mash potatoes with a dent for the butter to melt in….. this allows enough kinetic energy to spread out so that its like getting hit with a sledgehammer than with the claw end …… Btw it should be pointed out that in law enforcement a vest is consider spoiled after one hit…… and its even has a shelf life , just regular wear will reduce overtime its effectiveness….. sorta like the way you can burn yourself on an old oven mitt
When Walt said Hank isn’t “currently” family he was being literal not an a-hole. He signed the divorce papers like Sky had insisted so if they are divorced, Hank isn’t legally his brother in law. It was a stab a Skyler for insisting on the divorce.
That's still being an asshole. The literal is obvious, but he also meant it in the metaphorical sense, "I don't owe anything to those people, they're not close anymore".
I agree about Jesse. He isn't my favorite character but the show would not have worked without him. Every time somebody talks about liking Jessie. It reminds me of how the original plan in the script was for Emilio to kill Jesse in episode one before they make Walt teach them how to cook his recipe. I can't Believe how close we were to not having him in this at all.
AMBER, might be a little early to mention this BUT there is a film called "El Camino" which is DEFINITELY part of the Breaking Bad world!! I think it should be viewed in between the end of THIS series and starting to watch "Better Call Saul", if you decide to go that way!! You don't necessarily HAVE to watch Better Call Saul BUT El Camino is a definite MUST see when you're done with Breaking Bad!!❤❤
Said the exact same thing in season 1😂. Too many people skip that one or forget about it but it ties it all together. More shows should do that at the end of the series. 👍
Amber, I didn't know you had all of these tattoos. It wasn't apparent in your music reactions. Keep watching the show. It keeps getting better and better to the last episode of the series.
"He's our screwup." No no no no, he's his parents' screwup! Little Jakey isn't going to space camp because of him!!! Now little Jakey is going to be all screwed up too, smoking weed at 11yo.
And Jesse is totally sober right now not even taking his pain killers so he is all messed up and pissed off feeling everything and Jesse is still so hurt about how Walt acted when he did a good job cooking his blue meth he was so proud of himself and Walt cut him down and all he wanted was for Walt to be proud of him for trying so hard and doing a good job and wanted him to set up the meet but instead Walt turned on him and cut him down
Walt likes Gale but in a way he doesn't like how good he is there is no drama with him even though things go smooth but mostly he is looking at him like that because he knows he needs to smooth things over with Jesse and get rid of him to move Jesse in so he won't press charges on Hank and so Jesse won't rat on him so he sabotage the temperature he lied to him Gale didn't really mess up
Amber, you have such an eclectic taste in movies and TV shows, which I am enjoying very much. Keep up the good stuff and look forward to more. I do have a question for you though. Have you watched Justified? And if not, I highly recommend it.
Bright and early on this one. Based on the upload and the replies, I guess I'm not the only person with a totally messed up sleep schedule. Some interesting easter eggs in this episode is that if you watch the clock when Hank receives the call, it is at 3:07. This is the same time as the season and episode(S3:E07). When the clock ticks over, this brings it to 3:08. Walter's address was 308 Negra Arroyo Lane. Make of that connection what you will.
Well well well Jesse, if it isn't the consequence of your own actions. Everyone on this show has a problem taking accountability for the things they do lol.
Over all these years, from episode 1, I've been telling ppl that Hank is an ignorant, inept, bumbling, enabling, corrupt, violent, racist, sexist, weak, malingering, bully who needs every answer handed to him even when it's right in his face. Few ppl listen to me, but here he is again...
15:05 I hate how everyone defends Jesse in this show purely because of his soft spot for kids. That doesn't wipe away all the horrible things he's done, before and after he met Walt. Walt didn't turn Jesse into a bad person. Walt chose him because of what he did, yet when Walt defended his son in the beginning in the store everyone cheered, but now he's evil for doing what he needs to do? Hank gets sympathy for police brutality? Sorry. I get Hank is trying to do the right thing and it takes Hank saying it himself for both Marie and the audience to get it.
@Foghorn1966 true. Almost no one in this show is completely innocent, except Walt's kids and Gus's restaurant employees who didn't know he was a drug lord. Aside from them, everyone is guilty of doing something wrong.
Are tattoo "sleeves" a woman thing?? Cuz men are only ones I've seen "sleeves" on. I've got 2 tattoos and one removed...and That was more painful than childbirth!!!!
Maybe, maybe not, especially after both getting a hit by the cartel and a warning….. it doesnt take much with someone with criminal, or law enforcement, connection to connect him to his own wife… And there is a THIRD option (spoiler) on where the fring gang could have known Hank’s cell phone number
@@MyOpinionish could have been dirty cops, someone who found the number through Marie’s contact info at the hospital, but also remember we found out in season one that Crazy8 was a confidential informant for the DEA and he got disappeared in season one for reasons unknown….
@@josephsarto689 you're severely under estimating the cartel. As a DEA agent on the border you MUST assume they can get simple info. If anything, the only connection he can make is Saul and Jesse from that.
I really do need to check this series out. I've heard so many good things about it and yet am too stubborn - l-a-z-y stubborn, to watch. Then again, I'm the dude who didn't watch an episode of Seinfeld till two-years after it aired. I have, however, watched every episode of King of Queens and Everybody Loves Raymond 57,000 times. True story (totally not true). How ya like them apples, toots. 😜😜
Geez, talk being overly dramatic! I guess that's to be expected when you live a blissfully ignorant life completely oblivious to the ways of the world, though.. I don't know how such naivety manages to actually survive in the world we live in today, honestly..!
Jessie and Walt’s relationship is very complicated . Walt and Jessie have a father and son relationship. He is also trying to save Hank and he wants to make sure Jesie doesn’t turn on him. All these things are true .
Well this is a reaction video. The show is not a documentary. She’s invested in the characters of this fictional tv show. Fortunately there’s many other reactors for you to choose from. Thanks for checking in with your cynical opinion.
This episode for me marks BB’s transition from a great show to an all-time great show. There is an absurd amount of awesome things yet to come in the 2nd half of this series
This is easily top scenes from Jesse. He deserved every award for his performance
Such an epic BB episode...Jesse's 2 monologs, Hank's talk with Marie and that final showdown!
One of the most iconic episodes of the series ... and the first one I ever watched actually!
Hank started this show as an arrogant ass. By this point we were all feeling for him and hoping he’d find a way to survive. This show is so well written. The arcs of so many characters have you flip flopping all over the place.
i agree, this is great story telling.
One of the most epic and hectic closing acts of any episode.

Yep, as well as a return dig at Skyler for how she insulted him when she first came into his apartment.
I love how you went from calling him "Hank" to calling him "Schrader" by the end of the episode lol.
" he's a screw up but hes our screw up" pretty much sums it up aha
🫡
Thanks to the big homie Amber for the pre-playoff morning video to pass the time before the games!!
Well, Amber just be dropping stuff on us at all times of the day, now.

Wow an early bird special
Good morning!

WALT DOESN'T WANT ANYONE TO KNOW HIS RECIPE TO DUPLICATE "HIS FORMULA" 😎😎😎

The writing is good, yes. The acting is better and when the two merge it's magic.
Hector Salamanca trained the Twins!!!!😵😱
GALE IS TOO SMART!!!!
20:04 That's good TV 😂
I think so many people must have said the same thing
18:18 His shoes are like Jane's nose. There is an upward hook at the tip.

Never rooted for Hank. This was like the bad guy vs the really bad guys. Kind of what Breaking Bad is all about.
Luv u r taking on my favorite show ever. I can watch it over and over. Ty

Jesse is definitely the heart of the show and IMO Hank becomes the hero. This is one of my favorite episodes.
Yay! Something to watch with my morning coffee!
You are going to LOVE Better Call Saul when you watch it after this series!
Yes, definitely so…there will be no disappointment..,Better Call Saul more than a prequel…Schedule it!!!!!!
