I so much love this intervention and restoration effort of our national asset. I would rather have loved to see an elaborate control room, that would have a world class befitting CCTV facilities to monitor both the interior and exterior aesthetics of the asset, to prevnt vandalization and sabotage of national properties. I hope Yoruba's will remember that this and every other national pride project in Lagos are assets that came to their land as a result of the privilege of having one Yoruba state (Lagos) host the rest of the country as the Capital city of Nigeria. I hope this and other of such facilities can be accessed by all tribes of this country

It’s a beautiful and historic landmark. I would hate to have a boring, minimalist building of a theatre. And also did you think about the cost to demolish and rebuild if they were to replace it? Plus there are plans to really develop the surrounding area. A simple google search and you can see how much this area WILL change in the coming years
What the f do you mean by old ugly brick? Shame on you. There's the new Lagos Arena being built at Oniru in Lekki which is modern, classy and world standard. The national theatre is a great monument and if you love to criticize anything and everything abeg leave the National theatre out of it ok.
@@IOdele It is not expensive to demolish and move out the dirt, sir. $100 million is even too much to get something better than this ugly old national theatre and fix the surrounding area in Agamu. Somebody must have pocketed some of the money by merely looking at what has been done.
