This is what I do for a living as a ramper at ORD. But I push out smaller regional planes ERJ-145, CRJ-200, and CRJ-700 with an Lektro pushback tug and cart. We use straps for the nose pole not a towbar.
The pin is supposed to be inserted before connecting the tow bar & push back.. also notice that the tow bar tires are in the ground, there‘are supposed to be in the air while pushing back.
I miss the good old days .... I was a line aircraft maintenance technician and we were the ones doing all the ground proceedings, arrival, preflight and departure maneuvers. Nowadays is ramp guys who do it, having a mechanic doing all this gave pilots a sense of more security as we knew the aircraft and safety proceedings like the back of our hands.
Sean Moynihan So you know all that apparantly.. And you're just a rampy on $8 ph? I call bullshit. If you're so smart you'd be a fucking pilot not a rampy. Joker.
I hope you’re having a nice day. Firstly, I would like to thank you for your great effort and useful videos. Secondly, I wanted to have your approval to use some of your videos on my daily motion channel if you wouldn’t mind. Thanks in advance and sorry for the inconvenience. Abbas Mahmoud. Content Creator.
@ video 2:32 he mention after contacting tow bar insert bypass pin . but make shore bypass pine b4 concting tha towbar need to insert. not after tha towbar. Thanks. RIZWAN Ali
A headset man in India was once sucked into the engine due to pilot error. He hasn't properly engaged the parking brake and the aircraft moved forward when the headset man was removing bypass pin.
Keep your dream alive. Study hard and when you are qualified, there will be many wonderful opportunities for you. Never listen to the people who are negative or quick to put you down. Best wishes from Ireland.
Me pilot likes this movies a lote. very good a lot video. Never did pushback, now i know how to do it.i fly the boeing 320 for living, and i doe a lot of flying for a very good airliner compani.
+Cole Gaming Well, Im arent a pilot, but reverse thrust can be used to "push" the plane back. But because of the gate/terminal building is in the way of the jet blast (Mostly on any airport), then this kind of push back is used instead. (That we saw in the video) It is also safer for anyone around instead that the plane does the reverse thrust. But yeah, it is mostly for breaking
Iniabasi Ikpe By the time you are flying the A380 most likely won’t be used. Not to be a downer. Follow your dream but look into the future at the same time. You are the 737 MAX, 787, 747-8, 777 X generation.
i retired from airside 9 years ago and ifyou put a tow bar on without by-passpin first the pilot might twiddle the steering, break your shear pins and possibly take your leg off!-------------TROTTER
14:00. You remove the steering pin and then you disconnect hedsets. Disconecting cockpit comuncation is the last thing you do, for obvious reasons.

Do you still work there?

4:27 That is an IMPRESSIVE cockpit! :)
Totally a 757 cockpit
Very entertaining and fun to watch. Thanks for posting this.
This gives me so much information about pushback. But it does not make sense unless you talk to the captain himself.
Very nice video and fun to watch. Have a nice day.
the bypass pin should definitely be inserted prior to connecting the tow bar.....
Joshua Hayward agreed
Agreed, stopped watching it after this point, however don't know why I watched it for that long... Strange video!!
It's not a tow bar, it's a TWO BAR (1:47). I'm going to watch some more to see what else they do wrong!!
The fact that they're calling it a 'tow truck' instead of a pushback is pissing me off too
Statistics

This vedio is very informative.specially for those who have test or interview for pushback operater.

@@seanalire-moynihan9142 Erm no you really wouldn't know more than aircraft maintenance technician.
1:47 Pretty sure its called a tow-bar, not a two-bar

Professor? 😂
GREAT VIDEO
bypass pin FIRST before anything is physically connected to the aircraft.
Bypass pin must insert to steering wheel before Towbar connected, not FIRST before anything. Thanks
I do this for a living and only connect it to the plane if it has a bypass pin. A220s and CRJ's and some other planes do not have bypass pin.
Excellent stuff
where can i get similar videos.. this is really informative
I have done this editing in my first company digitales studios .. 5 yrs back ... Really old days ...
No need for nose wheel chock befor remove towbar?

7:15 GOOD QUESTION
Can you suggest an institute..
It also doesn't have a forward gear since it relies on thrust not mechanical/electrical power to the tires because I doubt that it would lift off.
we are doing this instruction but I belive sitting on the tug more safe and btr
Good demonstration

Yeah, this is what I wanna see. Cartoons of how someone just got squished in Chicago...
0:47 So many "professors" and none of them are aware that a pushback in this situation wil cause severe damage to the terminal?
What communication between captain and headset man ? Please explain it .
Can I publish your video without any edits on my website ?
WHAT SHOULD BE SPECIFICATIONS FOR TOW TRUCK?
Looks like the headset man has shit his pants at 8:27.
I need video on airplane fueltank awareness,EWIS, human factor, safety awareness video
17 minutes? I would really sit here and watch the whole thing I just came for one question
How can I become a push back operator can you tell me about the procedures
Apply to airline company with engineering dept. thanks
Now i know why the pax offloaded themselves. :-). The video is enough wrong not to be right. Interesting video.
I agree 100% there joshua hayward as im training on headsets at ema.

Eezee Listen thanks
zeib shaikh lead ur dreams
lmao listening to "the art of war" audiobook, and this "professor" is the reader
Literally the most disturbing shit I've seen in a while.
why the headset connect to the aircraft?
Loud noise and long between Capt. and headset agent. Thanks
Get GSX for FSX or prepar3d
Where is marshlling procedure ?
Search for Aircraft marshaling. These same professors will talk about it.
Bypass pin should be put in before you hook up toe towbar.
Me pilot likes this movies a lote. very good a lot video. Never did pushback, now i know how to do it.i fly the boeing 320 for living, and i doe a lot of flying for a very good airliner compani.
How does this professor man know about pushback?
Bypass pin inserted first.
Before Towbar connecting only. Thanks
wtf is headset staff, its the ramp agents who push the plane.
I agree with you. They are the ramp agents.
4:26 that does not look like a thumbs up😂
My dream is to ride a bicycle 😢
Is she Indian?
???

Sounds like a Comanche or Apache to me, possibly Navajo or Sioux tribe.

I am a pilot and I know airplanes have reverse thrust
+Nick Goddard Reverse Thrust is for braking
Nick Goddard apparently not cause you bot it wrong of you are a pilot Then I aint wanna fly with you
Train Mania are you replying with nick or me?
Nick Goddard i am also a pilot and i know that in big planes such as boeing 747 and A380 there are no reverse thrust
+Cole Gaming Well, Im arent a pilot, but reverse thrust can be used to "push" the plane back. But because of the gate/terminal building is in the way of the jet blast (Mostly on any airport), then this kind of push back is used instead. I've never heard it called a tow truck, I've always heard it called a tug. Nor have I ever heard them called the headset staff.
For some companies the driver is called the Aircraft Tow Operator, so it is accurate to call it a “tow truck”
1:37 yah you should be pushing back a plane when you dont have a face
This is a cartoon, professor.

Why do we have to have foreign voices for the professors? We are in America speak English 😊
