      Ylex thanks for the compliment and for subscribing! Glad you enjoyed! Welcome to the team. Let us know if/whenever you have any video requests

      Oh I have tons of requests, but since I havent seen all of your videos yet - I cant say for sure if it already exists.
      A mini series of videos daily/weekly where you explain common equipment and modifications for beginners.
      Maybe even show how theyre installed and in use.
      Stabilisers - types, pricing, purpose, disadvantages
      D-loops - what are those and how do you make one?
      Releasers - Pros/cons of the types? Is it a must have for a hobbyist?
      Cases/bags for bow and/or arrows
      Different kind of sights - pricing, purpose
      String dampeners
      Rangefinders - might be a stretch maybe!
      General bow maintenance for a beginner
      Arrow rest - types, purpose, pricing.
      Or just a "So you got your new Compound bow, what to do now?"
      I think a lot of beginners would find those useful if you keep the items separated in different videos. Many videos today go through the whole bow and all its parts in one 20 minute cut, which is kind of overwhelming.

      @TheSticksBrand  8 лет назад +1

      Thanks for the recommendations! We've got a few of those on our list to film already and will definitely get to them in the near future..
      I agree, those 20 minute videos/sessions are definitely overwhelming. One of the reasons we started this channel. Looking forward to helping you out!

    Anyone have any opinions on the practical difference between Bohning's Seal-Tite (Green) and Tex-Tite (Red) wax?

  • @Wolf-kr7kn
    @Wolf-kr7kn 8 лет назад +1

    do u need certain kind of wax or no

    • @TheSticksBrand
      @TheSticksBrand  8 лет назад +1

      I recommend using Tex-Tite by Bohning.. it's made specifically for synthetic fiber strings, which is most common.. They also sell a Seal-Tite wax which is used for high tensible bow strings. You'll most likely want the wax made for synthetic fiber strings: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0000AVE4T/ref=s9_dcacsd_bhz_bw_c_x_1

    awesome!! thanks for the tip about the servings👍 ...(Bow reviews?) or at least would like to Know what you guys are shooting?

    • @TheSticksBrand
      @TheSticksBrand  7 лет назад

      Hey no problem! I started with a used Bowtech a few years ago and am still using that bow today. I've shot quite a few different bows and have found there isn't just one bow that makes me a better shooter. If there's a mistake, it's always my fault. Choosing the right bow for me depends on the axel-to-axel dimensions, the weight, and how quiet the bow is.. We'll definitely have some bow reviews in the future, just a matter of time! Thanks for the suggestions Jarod.

    Dumb question. Do you just wax the rear string or all of them?

    • @TheSticksBrand
      @TheSticksBrand  6 лет назад +2

      All of them that don't have the black on it. The whole video I think shows which strings we hit.

    Nice and funny video. How often should wax be applied? If you got a new bow/string, when do you need to start applying wax?

    Uuum why shouldn't I wax where the nock is ? I mean there is the greatest friction of all the string. And also I was told to wax where the cable guard lies. I haven't heard anything just like what you said in your video.

    The right amount of wax should be enough that you don't get any residue or pieces of wax on your hands, enough is 2 light strokes along the parts of the string, rub it in with your fingers and avoid using something like leather or something that would not tell you if your string is too hot from the friction, remember, you're trying to melt the wax into the string fibers, not damage the fibers from the friction.
