    That's is so good to see real locals loving the job they do, not same little kid in china same where people keep supporting manufacturing like this cause here in Australia we got same sad news our home grown fishing manufacturing Alvey and sons is closing cause they can't keep up with China and the shit they make
    If your after a fantastic reel and rod check them out cause they might not be around for much longer

      @@jornelindberg5127 Not at first,but then new materials became available after the G3’s . I’ve got some high end Gary Loomis Edge rods and they’re incredible along with NorthForkComposite blanks. Gary Loomis is not just a rod builder but a material engineer and has some incomprable carbon materials.

    Good video, I’m glad they are made in America!
    BUT! there is one thing I didn’t hear them talk about, what the guides are made of.
    You have the name G Loomis and that makes the rod of more value, but the guides can add another 100 or even 200 more dollars to the rod.
    I would like to think that G Loomis is using premium guides for the price of the rod.

    From Part 1 to Part 2, I've seen that most of the G. Loomis rod are hand made. As a human, we tend to tire and sometimes misjudge. Therefore, G. Loomis rods are not that "perfect" after all.

    • @zebur4170
      @zebur4170 4 года назад +2

      How. The. Fuck
      Is that your takeaway from this?
      Have you ever fished one? I'm sure some micro differences exist. But I'd rather have than hand made all day.
      Those are jobs. People with families. People who care and fish. I'm happy to see what I'm paying for.

      +Wisconsin Angling There will always people who are happy to pay for what they consider the best equipment for their purpose, whether it be employment or recreation. I have always bought the best tennis gear, and surfboards because I love those sports, and the same with my salmon fishing equipment. I would pay for a Loomis rod if I considered them the best for my type of Fishing. G Loomis will always have a huge fan base because they are one of the best rod builders in the world.

      They aren't made for kids, unless they are kids with rich parents. The fact that you find them expensive doesn't mean they won't use them in the future, also fact.

      I spend a lot of time and money on tackle to prep for a day to take my kids fishing. The last thing I want is for them is to go home with a memory of losing fish. Fresh leader, new hooks, dependable rod and reel. My boys fish gloomis rods bc I do and it gives them a good advantage on feeling and landing a fish. My 4 yr old can tell the difference between a bite vs a wave/rock bumping his line with his gloomis rod lol. My wife and I thought it was a joke but every time he winds and swings sure enough he’s got a fish. He doesn’t swing on the waves or rocks.
