Wow, I am really impressed. I watched your Fugitive video from almost exactly a year ago, and the improvement in quality both in your apparent comfort level as well as the technical quality of the video is just amazing. And that's only in a year. This also looks like a really interesting game as well. Thank you!
Wonderful explanation of this game! The art and components are absolutely gorgeous looking. I love that the minis have peg slots for roses to track health, other games should use this as well for simple health tracking. Look forward to your next game preview!
Thanks a lot Joe :) It really is a gorgeous game! The rose pins though are not for health tracking, they just limit each player's summoned creatures to a max of 3 and they connect them to the evocation cards on the character's sheet.
So very clear, and so well done! Thank you for this. This is a beautiful game. It has a lot going on, though; I wonder if it is just a bit too busy. I'm going to track down some reviews. I will say: a tiebreaker that has a player choose the winner is a very weird mechanic. I'm wondering to what degree it is possible to control who has the crown at game end.
My mates and I played BRW for the first time two days ago. We dived right into the Game, did some things wrong but had a lot of fun. Your video made a lot of rules clear to me, it is well made, the structure works perfectly. The Next game will be even better I guess, Efcharisto Jan
Who is your favourite mage ??? School of magic? and Room??? Great video! Everytime i want to learn a new board game i log in hahaha (i know i am cheating but hey, this is how i roll)
Great video. Very clear and looks like a neat game with lots of moving pieces. Good to know when a game will work for you or not. This one is fantastic, just not for me. Thanks.
Really well done video. It gives a nice structured overview as well as the design / art of the game. The components, the art, the color scheme look just great. I'm not sure how the game plays with more then 2 players. I generally don't like competitive games with more than 2 players. The fact that you can pick on a player and the discussions who is currently in the lead and who isn't normally pushes those games from my list of games I'm interested in. Thanks to your video, I'm now on the fence again, undecided. I will watch the kickstarter and see if this game could be something for me or not.
I hace just readed the rulebook but appear many doubt to me. For example the spells in ours mage sheet can i play un any order? Or must be play spell 1 first and them the number 2 etc
I have seen the huge quantity of miniatures and I'm on the fence about getting it as a late kickstart just for the minis. The game sounds super complicated but if I can learn it alone and teach it to others with relative ease, then I might do it. Is it worth it for minis alone?
ave Im not the kinda gamer who goes for the miniatures so maybe Im not the best person to answer this, but I would say there is lots of them and they are well-made. I also wouldnt say the game is complex, so maybe you should give it go ;)
Cardboard Rhino - Thanks for the response! I'll take that into consideration, I think you've convinced me this is at least worth a shot. P.S. Isn't it nice when people on the internet conduct themselves cordially, professionally and amicably? Thanks for what you do.
Oh my goodness im glad i watched this....i was very interested in the game but im completely avoiding it now. What a jumbled mess of mechanics. The designer literally just shoved mechanics into this to the point where i cant see how this would be fun to play. I wish game designers would stop with the extreme over complications of every thing. You dont need 50 different components, you dont need 25 decks you set aside, you dont need quest and events and phase cards and charecter action and blah blah goes on forever crap. A boardgame doesnt need to be a territory claim, resource manager, deck builder, minis combat rpg... Imagine how much easier this game would play and set up if you just deal out the spell book, youre allowed 40 cards, you ask each player how many of each school they want and deal them out...done..remove the stupid deck builder aspects and over complication. Theres just so many mechanics I would eliminate from this. Rose pins? Youre kidding right.... Deck builder, no thanks. Quest? Nope...and pvp vs the board but no co op? Yeah that would change. If its pvp the black rose ending the game is a pointless mechanic. If this could be co op, quest and black rose and unstable rooms would be fine...but adding co op elements to a PVP minis game is just retarded.
Best how to play video I've found for this game. Great methodical breakdown, thank you!
Thank you Tyler

Terrific game explanation and literally the prettiest game reviewer I have seen 😊

Apologies I got this wrong but still a wonderful mechanic in the game

I'm glad you enjoyed the game and that my explanation helped! Next game will be better for sure, you are now becoming proper mages ;)

Game looks great. Hopefully they provide a bunch of extra room tiles for some real randomized variation.
Great video. Very clear and looks like a neat game with lots of moving pieces.

Really great explanations, thanks
Thank you for another great video! Hope you have a wonderful weekend :)

What is the scale of these miniatures? They look larger than 32mm. Just wondering if they would be compatible with Zombicide/Massive Darkness, etc?
Thanks for this. Looks great. Shame it isn't a soloable\Co-op game.
Kevin Erskine Solo play announced as one of the KS stretch goals.
Is now an acheived stretch goal.. pretty much
You have also a semi-coop mode where you fight Crono or Lucifer (inferno pack)
We start first turn without an event card. The first event card is drawn by last player in a first turn. Is it right?

Pretty game but gosh there are so many little rules and texts to keep track of. Not for me.
Ah. So tempting. But like lots of you guys, just a tiny bit too much of a game for my group.

It looks good but rules rules bloody rules heeelp ha ha
Hard to focus on the game with such a beautiful girl commenting.
Ridiculously overproduced garbage. Have seen it all before. Thanks for showing Rhino!
