If there is no space in your evocations, you can remove one to place a new one as you can only have 3. However, if you try to summon a new evocation and there are none left in the reserve, you get no evocation. All other parts of the spell can be played, except for gaining the evocation.

Becca's gown, necklace, and subtly ominous voice were subtly perfect for projecting the dark/gothic essence of this game without going full-obvious-blackout. Nice fashion/mood sense! I don't often admit to perceiving such things, but we have to give credit where it is due...

Third moon phase before the second mage activates their room token, unless another mage activates that room or the adjacent room using a Necromancy tile, or following the second activation after the preceding first player token player drew their third spell card this game.
Watching another explanation, where they played one round. Make it seem actually fairly simple mechanically. I think it is even easier than Blood Rage.
Just a general note (personal preference really, you do your videos whichever way you see fit) It just sounds like you’re speed reading out loud something rather than explaining it to me in your own words like you care that I grok the concepts. In spite of all the production quality you guys have... I feel there’s people out there doing a better job of conveying the rules with a cell phone... (Seriously who says « QUESTS: The mages who bla bla » or all this « next, » « second, » « finally »... it’s now how people talk... no body starts a speech by declaring a title!!!) You finish the video like you’re exhausted from all the talking... take that as a clue you’re doing it wrong. Stop reading, just explain it.
It is a Deck Building Game because you have to build your deck of spells, there are different spell houses that you can choose from, but from experience you don't want to build a deck from all houses of spells. Find a good 2 - 3 houses that work well together and work on forming some good combinations!
Traditional deck builder with extra steps. Not super complicated, but if I’m going to spend that much time setting a game up, I’d prefer something like Gloomhaven

This seems a lot more complicated than it needs to be. Looks like this video saved me some money.
Pick card, play card, track life and/or points. Seems simple enough. More complicated than checkers, less than Monopoly.
