This brings some good memories from back in the days. Growing up in the the city of Nairobi, Reggae was forbidden in my parents house and of some of my friends as well. Oh yah, Dennis Brown Band was on fire, it looks like a 21 piece band with all those different types of instruments. Indeed, they really run things with the Roots, Rock, Reggae real creators of the three Big R's. It was truly amazing to see live performance looks exactly like a live studio recording session. They had so much energy even the audience had to get up and dance.

Reggae has been loosing that real authentic sound, Since Dennis sings alone with just his one voice, he is like just a single note on the music scale. You need a least three notes to form a chord which is the fullness of music. So with Dennis voice you need the backing vocal such as bass, baritone or tenor. That's what these groups like mighty diamonds, bob and the wailers, the melodians the slickers etc use to capture the audience ears mind heart body and soul.
