my grandfather and mother are the ones who designed this home, their main focus is glass, steel, and concrete. his home is built of those materials and so is my own! Malibu isn't a very hot place no matter where it is you are living(one the beach, in a neighborhood, or in the mountains). Suprisingly these homes really don't get to hot plus there are screens everywhere and it can create a beautiful open and airy place during the summers when people should be outside.

So usually what happens is people who own properties like this one always end up renting it out to different Hollywood Studios who would film TV shows and movies on the properties.

that idiot designer is my grandfather. while I agree there isn't much room for cars, I think the lack of room shouldn't be what super important in his designs especially seeing as this house was originally made for a long time client who still is a client/partner today and wasn't really into cars and wanted more space in the actual home itself, plus you can fit cars in the driveway for more of a "viewing pleasure"

My biggest concern would be privacy because of all the glass. Typically homes that are built like this the neighbors are always staring at it, which means once someone Moves In it's going to be a lot more noticeable especially at night time when the lights are on. So no matter how far away people are your neighbors will always be looking at you unless you've spend thousands of dollars on really good curtains and shades. But for a property like this you would have to be very creative to find something that works. Also it would be hard to call this place home. It just doesn't give off that comfy cozy vibe that a house is supposed to have. Usually when people buy something like this it's just to brag, show off and say they have one. Not because they really want it or need it.

Wow, I love it and would live there if I could. From the air - the dome looks like a jet engine and the main bedroom space reminds me of turbine parts in an engine. I hope the glass is self-cleaning both inside and out because I would hate to have to clean them lol. Awesome views from this quirky property too.

I don't understand what to do if u want to sleep on a sunny day? was it done this way that u don't have shades so u immerse in to nature? 4 bedrooms where are they? the gym is that one? what if at night someone wants to use a washroom and its raining u get wet crossing that bridge ..... the sitting area in front of the only non-master bedroom? doesn't have doors the office and the laundry room don't have windows ? a place u would most likely use during the day i like the design though
