@@9bytehub how was it on the focus on terms? anything crazy or was it pretty much the kind of stuff these videos are covering? taking my test saturday and just a bit nervous.
Love the video. I have the security + practice tests book. testing myself on Domain 1. Trying to get at least a 100 out of 150 questions before going to domain 2, I have 1 question: will there be acronyms on the test? Thanks.
How did anyone feel about the simulated questions? How can I study or find practice ones that simulate the real exam. They gave me 5 PBQs and I didn't really understand them much and I guess that's where the majority of my points came from because I was 61 points away from passing.
You will find a couple videos on RUclips, but PBQs are low in number on the exam. Candidates routinely report 3 - 4 today, with the rest being multiple choice.
My personal study plan over 12 days to get my certification: -One video a day from this playlist regarding these five domains. -For every video watched, I will take an official practice exam on each domain from the practice test resource in the description. -I will have one week left before the test. During that week, I will use Jason Dion's practice tests on Udemy, followed by practice tests on Exam Compass. Wish me luck, y'all!
Your planned activities seem reasonable to me but I would caution you with regards to the timeline. Everyone is different in terms of the amount of effort required to prepare for this exam. I had nearly 20 years experience in the industry when I prepared for the CISSP exam. While I know my study methods have proven effective for many, my job experience no doubt factored in how long I prepared for the exam. Use the periodic practice quizzes to assess your readiness for exam day, and don't rush yourself. This exam is expensive and there's no sense wasting money to adhere to a self-imposed schedule that is too aggressive relative to your readiness

I have a serious question; I started this course on udemy with Dion Training overall the class is not too bad. But out of curiosity I went on RUclips to do a general comparison between INSIDE CLOUD AND SECURITY AND ZION TRAINING I am seeing some discrepancies already, an example: for instance you have the key elements of zero trust as Control Plane ✓ Adaptive Identity ✓ Threat Scope Reduction ✓ Policy-Driven Access Control ✓ Policy Administrator ✓ Policy Engine Data Plane ✓ Implicit Trust Zones ✓ Subject/System ✓ Policy Enforcement Point but Zion training has it as: ● Control Plane ○ Adaptive identity, threat scope reduction, policy-driven access control, and secured zones ● Data Plane ○ Subject/system, policy engine, policy administrator, and establishing policy enforcement points @ this point I am just a bit stuck and would like to understand if its a version issue maybe this is how it was in the past and now it has been updated and zion failed to update their content. Please enlighten me on this.
@@InsideCloudAndSecurity thank you for the prompt reply and for the amazing work that you do. I’ll keep on going with your material. I was just a bit loss and wanted some clarification.
I don't know about sec+, but I have experience with Dion A+ material where about 10% of the content was from older objectives. So, I suspect the same thing has happened here.
PEP enforces the rules 'at the door', while the PDP decides who should be allowed to enter based on additional information. The Mnemonic I used for Preventative, Detective, Corrective, Compensating, Directive and Deterrent ("Protect data carefully, Control Access Diligently.") For Access= Directive controls... But the wording is what helped me remember them. Another is Proactive Defenses Can Control Dangers Diligently. (This one has all: Preventative, Detective, Corrective, Compensating, Directive & the Deterent)
For the Open Public Ledger, is the context within blockchain or outside of it? It seems like the context is a centralized open public ledger instead of a decentralzied public ledfer for the exam
I’d suggest looking for a tier one SOC analyst role. You will have a decent base of knowledge to get started in the security operations center after this exam.
Isn't the CA chain of trust order wrong? Shouldn't the arrows be pointing the other way? Since the root CA is the ultimate source of trust in the system.
Not at all. Arrows would point up in the context of queries flowing up to verify authority. Arrows could flow down when talking about how authority flows. What's important did you understand the hierarchy, the role of each, and where ultimate authority (the root of trust) resides.
Professor Messer is one of the go-to guys for this stuff. I watched through his entire series, now I'm watching this. This seems to be a bit more condensed and really hammer home the exam objectives. Messer takes a slightly more 'big picture' approach but still goes step-by-step through the objectives, in order. I would recommend doing both.
I solved 150 + 110 questions for the 1st domain, first test i got 34 wrong ( out of 150 questions) and the 2nd one i got 24 wrong ( out of 110 questions) can i continue to the next domain? or should i revise? i know domain 1 is only 12% of exam but i want to be clear with 1 domain before i proceed. please let me know i used these books: CompTIA Security+ SY0-701 Practice Tests 2024 Published by: ExamsDigest and CompTIA Security+ Practice Tests Exam SY0-701 Third Edition David Seidl

good content but I beg to differ on the role and relationship between PDP and PEP. The PEP doesn't know anything about the policies, instead, it intercepts access requests and forwards them to the PDP. The PDP then passes access decisions based on pre-defined access control policies. To simplify, PEP sits in between devices/resources and PDP. Based on the decision outcome from PDP, PEP enforces either the deny or access decision. Correct me if I am wrong
I don’t think I’m saying anything different than what you are, although I’ve simplified it intentionally. My diagram and explanation here are well supported by NIST SP 800-207

Some prepare in as little as a week, but most I would estimate take somewhere between 30-90 days. Depends on your current knowledge level and how much time you can dedicate to studying.
I hope you have been doing well, Shivani. I have started this video series just now although I had gone through Professor Messer's series sporadically before this. This is my plan and please check if it works for you too. I gather that there are 5 video sessions with varied length for the 5 domains. I will watch 1 hour of video every day, starting today, and with complete concentration. If I have to pause and revisit any topic for better understanding, I will do so. Even if I have to spend 1 and a half hour for a 1 hour video every day, I will be fine with it. So, let me see how many days it takes me to complete all the videos if I watch 1 hour of content every day without taking a break from it. I can not put in more than an hour and a half as there are a lot many troubling things happening in life that I have to attend to.

@@InsideCloudAndSecuritythank you. Well hopefully I get less PBQs the next time I retake
My personal study plan over 12 days to get my certification:
-One video a day from this playlist regarding these five domains.
How did you go
greart video helped alot thanks
Glad to hear it! Congratulations! 🏆👍
İ passed 794/900 based on your course, keep doing you are beast
Well done! CONGRATULATIONS! 🏆🎉🌟
Taking my test hopefully this Saturday or Sunday 😢😢
Good luck on your exam! 🍀🤞
At 1:26:45 asymmetric encryption example, what if.. I sit between Franco and Maria and I spoof to be Maria and send Franco MY public key, as the initial "hey, send me your pkey"- message was not encrypted.. ? Just came to my mind. Is that a thing? Then I would at least intercept Francos messages.. 🤔🤔
I have a serious question; I started this course on udemy with Dion Training overall the class is not too bad. But out of curiosity I went on RUclips to do a general comparison between INSIDE CLOUD AND SECURITY AND ZION TRAINING I am seeing some discrepancies already, an example: for instance you have the key elements of zero trust as
Control Plane
✓ Adaptive Identity
✓ Threat Scope Reduction
✓ Policy-Driven Access Control
✓ Policy Administrator
✓ Policy Engine
Data Plane
✓ Implicit Trust Zones
✓ Subject/System
✓ Policy Enforcement Point
but Zion training has it as:
● Control Plane
○ Adaptive identity, threat scope reduction, policy-driven access
control, and secured zones
● Data Plane
○ Subject/system, policy engine, policy administrator, and
establishing policy enforcement points
@ this point I am just a bit stuck and would like to understand if its a version issue maybe this is how it was in the past and now it has been updated and zion failed to update their content. Please enlighten me on this.
Since my list perfectly matches the list in section 1.2 of the Official Exam Outline (and NIST 800-207), I trust mine.
A very good video, When can we expect a video which will cover EVERY TOPIC of Domain 2
Section 2.4 in a few hours, 2.5 in a couple of days from today, and full domain 2 (consolidated) end-of-week.
@@InsideCloudAndSecurity Great, keep up with the good work 🙂🙂
PEP enforces the rules 'at the door', while the PDP decides who should be allowed to enter based on additional information.
The best one!!!
@@joaoayres831 glad you like it! good luck on the exam! 🍀 🤞
For the Open Public Ledger, is the context within blockchain or outside of it? It seems like the context is a centralized open public ledger instead of a decentralzied public ledfer for the exam
Don't remember the specifics from the syllabus and my course of the top of my head. Let me have a look and circle back with you later today.
Hi, can anyone please tell me what type of job security plus certificate offers and the pay rate for it in Philadelphia? Thank you
I’d suggest looking for a tier one SOC analyst role. You will have a decent base of knowledge to get started in the security operations center after this exam.
your awesome bro...i didnt get 601..i do plan on getting 701...thank you
Happy to help! Good luck on the exam!👍🍀
has anyone told you, you sort of sound like Hank from king of the hill. Did you use to sell propane and propane accessories
No, Hank is a first! 😂Most commonly hear comparisons to Jeff Goldblum.
What's important did you understand the hierarchy, the role of each, and where ultimate authority (the root of trust) resides.
great stuff!!!
Glad you’re finding it helpful! Good luck on the exam! 🍀👍
Loving your material. Do you know of any similarly structured cram lectures for Network+ that you would recommend?
Unfortunately, none that I am aware of.
I solved 150 + 110 questions for the 1st domain, first test i got 34 wrong ( out of 150 questions) and the 2nd one i got 24 wrong ( out of 110 questions) can i continue to the next domain? or should i revise?
i know domain 1 is only 12% of exam but i want to be clear with 1 domain before i proceed.
please let me know i used these books:

Not bad initial scores. You can also use spaced repetition, move on, and come back to domain 1 in a few days.
Thank you very much, Pete! I’m pleased to share that I’ve passed the exam.
Do you have any plans to create cram lectures for the CISA exam?
CONGRATULATIONS! As for CISA? Yes! Ordered the new study guide yesterday and received it in my morning Amazon delivery. Should have the first installment of CISA Exam Prep out in a few weeks.
@@InsideCloudAndSecurity That’s great to hear! Looking forward to your CISA exam prep series-your content is always incredibly helpful!
Thank you so much
Happy to help! Good luck on your exam!🍀👍
Nice Exams material
Glad you like it! Good luck on the exam!🍀🤞👍
Can I use this video as a textbook replacement (not completely) but for the most part and still pass?
Watch for about 5 min from this point in the full course for my suggested exam prep strategy - ruclips.net/video/9Hd8QJmZQUc/видео.htmlsi=iLAr0j_ZJl_LXqvy&t=87
Do you have a syllabus content for Network + ?
Not yet, but expect to by the end of the year.
Thanks!
good content but I beg to differ on the role and relationship between PDP and PEP.
Thank you for your inciteful resources. I passed my Sec + on first trial
Will you have all 5 domains in pdf soon for 701 security+
Aiming for series completion by end of May
I believe antivirus and antimalware would fall under the Preventive category
@@ZenaLoreace Technical category, and type can be preventive, detective, or even corrective depending on context of the situation. As you’ll see in video, many controls fit more than one category depending on context.
@@ZenaLoreace they are technical controls that can be preventive, detective, or corrective in nature depending on context of the situation. As you’ll see in one section of the series, controls can fall under more than one type based on context. I identify some keywords to help in identifying control type in any given question.
Does anyone in here know of any active discords I could join? I'm interested in finding a network.
You could try the certification station discord, where I'm a professor. I have not heard of a very active Security+ discord anywhere. Here' s an invite - discord.gg/sPBuaKb5
how much time this exam preparation takes???anyone have idea about it?
Do you a pdf copy for these?
Yes. Already linked in the Description below the video.
I also wajt to add that Pearson Vue testing centers give a 15% off voucher for the exam. That is nice to know if you are working at this time.
That’s great information! Do you have a link by chance where exam candidate can find that?
How do you lose a digital private key?
Overwriting a file, forgetting passphrase to a password manager/hardware wallet, software corruption, exposure of private key through a cyber attack.
Boss please can I contact you privately I need talk to you personally please
You can always drop questions here in the comments or send a direct message on LinkedIn.👍

Hello Pete,
May I know when we can expect the CISM CRAM videos to be available?
Thank you so much!
Thanks for your support. Expect that series to roll out over the next few weeks, beginning in the next week or so
