Baseball is going to be my first sport if I like it because I’m just gonna join the practice before I sign up to see if I like it on Tuesday at 4:00 at Chantry Hill baseball field I’m so excited but also nervous it feel like I’m starting the first day of school all over again lol anyways wish me good luck! Also I’m in 5th grade so this is gonna be hard apparently and I’m the only girl on the team if I sign up which makes me even more nervous because it is Monday today and tomorrow I have school which usually I have school on Mondays to but today is a holiday which today is Monday but that’s by I’m not at school right now and tomorrow I have school and then baseball practice right after well it starts at 4:00 but I wanna be there earlier. im trying to figure out something cuz i havent played baseball in 3 years and i dont remember anything. And im gonna be a catcher and im trying to figure out if when someone is at 1st base and the ball goes past the catcher are they supposed to take there mask off and throw it to 2nd or keep the mask on
Generally we teach to take the mask off and toss out of your way as soon as possible, so as your turning to my o get the ball at the backstop you’d be removing your mask at the same time. Just gives you better vision etc, but it’s not exactly required that you do so.
18:37 would’ve been a really easy out for 3rd.. runner went right past him. he was probably just stressed in the moment and didn’t know what to do though, understandable.
It sort of dies down at 11-12 but then you get the noise and shrieks trying to distract the pitcher while he throws. It’s not something we do but we are seeing it more and more at 11u.
Who sends a 1st and third throw with a weak Catcher after you showed and told him to throw it the inning before. Other team knew your poor plan. That was an easy run! Unless you have a strong arm or a direct throw to the pitcher or 2 bag going back home. To check the runner down! That’s how you stop 1st and 3rd! Always a Tough play but catch just throw to 2! Fun though and great bud.
I’m not sure what point specifically your talking about but we definitely have 1-3 plays. I’m guessing your talking about a play we scored though so couldn’t comment on other teams stuff.
