The character sunny(mohanlal) in manichithrathaazhu is a good example who didn't follow this trend of virginity.
In the movie, they mention that sreedevi had to return from her husband's home after a few days of marriage when they came to know of 'chovvadosham'.
The hero falls in love with her, and at the end ,sunny says he would send his mom to see her, adds that he doesn't believe in chovvadosham and he leaves , depicting there was no concern about this whole virginity drama.
I was little when I watched this movie first and was surprised when the hero (first marriage) went for a divorcee . It didn't usually happen in movies.
It was only later , I realised that we were fed with wrong ideas from our childhood.

exactly. the whole movie is so concentrated on showing how he keeps his hands and legs away from her. There's more to love than just being physical. I think he literally meant that "engaye vitto, angthaan irikke" and never grew up from the mindset of a teenage boy. the whole music and dop was subp, but the story felt cringy to me.
