There have been many comments about the US Border patrol being rude. I was a US Army officer and was coming BACK From Canada. Passport wasn’t required at the time but they wanted a birth certificate. I showed my military ID. They wouldn’t let me in because it didn’t prove I was a citizen. I said it sure proved I BELONGED in the US! A birth certificate doesn’t have a picture and it didn’t have my married name. I got through it because I told them I would sit there and let them find out what happens 9f I don’t show up for work in the morning. Yes, US customs can be very ridiculously rude.

That Canadian woman certainly forgot her manners, if she ever had them. I keep two things in mind when dealing with officials: 1) They have a job to do, and one gets better results by being cooperative and civil, and 2) They don't know me "from Adam", so they don't know whether I'm a law-abiding citizen or a hardened criminal--so the purpose of the questioning and investigation is to determine this. Common sense should make people aware of this, and then behave accordingly.

I live in northern Mn, an hour from the border of Minnesota and Ontario Canada. I was looking for a turn off to a certain area close to the border patrol crossing and I ended up getting on the wrong side of the road. If you go on the far right side, you’re OK if you went down the middle, it goes to the border crossing and I didn’t realize it and I just wanted to turn around, so I saw a break in the middle and attempted to turn around and this border patrol guy with his lights flashing pulled us over. I explained that I was just looking for this hiking trail and he had to get my ID and it took him forever to run my ID. It was ridiculous and I had my two kids with me And he kept asking me all kinds of weird questions that were ridiculous. It took us a half an hour to get away from this guy. Then I tried to go up to Winnipeg to go to a folk festival. I brought my kids because they also have a stage for the kids and art projects and have a whole Kids stage section at the Winnipeg folk festival. I had a signed notarized letter from my ex-husband saying that he had permission Gave permission for me to take the kids. I had my divorce degree with me showing that I had physical custody of the kids. This was exactly what you needed to do to take your kids across the border. They had us come in asked me so many inappropriate questions. I had my reservation printed out. I had my tickets with me. I mean it was so ridiculous. Then they delay us for hours because the guy decided that he needed to call my ex-husband and speak to him personally to make sure that he really did sign that notarized letter and he really did know that I was taking them across the border. It was it was so awful. We were hungry we were thirsty. My ex-husband ended up, bawling out the guy just I heard him on the phone yelling at him that he had no reason to make us wait and call us . My ex husband had been in traffic driving home from work. So of course he wasn’t going to be available at home. There were no cell phones at that time. They just argued back-and-forth on the phone and he was just as rude to my ex husband. The funny thing was my ex husband actually didn’t ever think it was even necessary to go through with getting this notarized letter. He said to me, will you have physical custody, and it’s in the divorce degree if you just bring that that’s all you need, I had to physically prove to him in writing that this was required before he would even get it . Then we got back to the car and they had searched our car and had thrown our stuff all over the ground outside of our car and stuff was blowing around like my kids were crying because their stuffed animals were like blown out on the side of the road and the whole experience was so Awful I felt abused, it was traumatic for me and my kids. My kids were so scared they thought we were gonna go to jail and there was absolutely no reason for them to be so mean and rude and they were they were mean to the kids they were mean to me. So whenever you go across the border anywhere into any country, it’s just gonna be a miserable experience going through customs, especially if you have prescriptions or you have children with you.

She's a stone cold LIAR! Verbally difficult, can't tell them any specifics about this person she's meeting, doesn't have a flight number or even know what airline he's on - that in itself is so suspicious. Just make sure the dog checks out her vehicle - because she's definitely hiding something!!
