I’m a young tech and just got a position for an install tech apprentice and the info in your videos gives so much in-site to where I feel less incompetent to do the job keep giving the knowledge very thankful for it 👍🏽
At least your learning bud...I used to tell people, as a supervisor, there's 10 years experience or one years experience 10 times...That's 10 years of incompetence and not learning...Knowing you don't know and admitting it, is the first step to becoming competent...You will make it, I know you will.
Boy, I wish your level of expertise and clarity existed in Boston-area HVAC contractors I've contacted to fix my inadequate A/C return flow. Thanks for the wealth of info and experience you have shared.
Fyi young service techs that think this video doesn’t apply to them, it does! Remember the air side is a the other half of the puzzle. I’m the old guy that gets the calls from the service techs when they can’t find the problem. I find many design issues, undersized returns, extended supplies during a renovation and so much more that create headaches for service tech that want to fix everything with a multimeter and a set of gauges. Don’t be the person at the counter that’s asking for a register when they mean a grill. Great video even for an old guy like me.
I'm gaining knowledge...Never did much duct work...Did sheet metal fabrication before, not duct work other than for commercial laundry...Everything was round...Thanks for the chance to learn again.
Thank you helping people around the world, Your information is always very helpful . 👍🏻
Good stuff.
Thanks again for your great videos
thank you for another great video
My hometown supply house! Great video, keep 'em coming!

Thank you Craig.
Thanks I learned something today great job
I need this thank you the V in hvac has always been my weakness identifying sheetmetal trunks fittings boots collars registers grilles, supplies, returns, thank thank you much
Always great thanks you for sharing content
Wow never knew this info was very helpful
I own that exact pair of work gloves too, by the way. 🙂
I'll just stay away from installs on new construction so I'm not having to make duct work shopping lists. That kind of work sucks for me, anyway. I'll keep my preferred skillset to residential/commercial HVAC/Refrigeration service work, haha. 🤣
Hi Craig I work on ice machine and small reach in refrigerator and freezer, I have a question in regards to critical charge systems, I use 36" hose, let's say the ice machine said to put in 15oz of 404A, how much should I put in exactly 15oz or do I go to 16-17 oz because when you remove your hoses you're losing some refrigerant, also how much in ounce refrigerant does each hose hold, for 36"hose and for 60" hose thanks.
I would use a "valve core depressing tool with backseat" on the end of your hose which will avoid you loosing anything on a critical charge. You would zero the scale after the liquid refrigerant is in the hose and have purged the air. look up the video on "acservicetech low loss fittings"
Well here in Florida it’s the opposite of what you said
We used to call your “End Boots” Torpedo Floor Boots, then decide if it was a left, right or center, depending on the floor joist, also, who is this video meant to educate, homeowners??
As a plumbing supply house guy, who only dabbles in sheet metal, I learned from it, and hope for more. I like the torpedo reference!
