A 6 to 8 ft sailboat is a bit small especially for the ocean conditions, so i doubt i'll make one. Next time I build a boat it'll probably be something with a double bottom for self drainage, and thinner plywood for a lighter boat. Maybe even a catamaran.
This is a great job and a laser sail is quite big for such a small boat. so it zooms along. I've just finished a 30kg, 2.4meter (8 foot in bananas) tender for our small 7m yacht. I made it out of 3mm MDF with 250gsm glass and epoxy sheath. It sails rows and has an outboard bracket.
