    So I watched your first video and very curious. I’m planning to spend the $450 and see how it goes. Because my local doctors aren’t really helping. I’ve got 3 PCP in the same facility and none agree on certain treatments

    • @picatog

      That sounds absolutely fantastic, and I hope they can do whatever it takes to help you and get that next step that you’d need. If you go with Marek, I currently have Jacob F. As my guide and he’s been fantastic. It’s tough with local PCPs since they’re more general vs Marek being focused on that, so hopefully they can get it down. 🫱🏻‍🫲🏼

    How can i take it orally without having inflammation

    • @picatog
      @picatog  2 месяца назад

      There is no real answer to that, for one it depends on the form you are taking, the dosage, and how your body interacts with it. You could take minimal and be inflamed or you could be blasting it orally and be fine. It's really DYOR and monitor how your body works with it.

    Is 1/2 needle sufficient or do u need a 1 inch?

    • @picatog
      @picatog  5 месяцев назад +1

      I would say 1/2 inch is enough, that’s what I use. Depending on injection location, body composition, etc it dictates how deep you’d have to inject to get an IM inject that you’d need for L-Carn. With that being said, if you have a half inch and it’s short you can bury the pin and still hit muscle. (Easier to control depth)

    • @gif24gt60
      @gif24gt60 5 месяцев назад +3

      Does that mean 1/2 inch is sufficient and don't do the 1 inch?

    • @picatog

      Yeah I would say so, don’t know many people that would use a 1 inch. Even MPMD has recommended 1/2 inch

      How dies l carnitine compare to injectable nad+ for benefits?

    I've also been using the 30mL vial from Empower. I use a 3mL syringe with a 1.25" needle and inject 1g (2mL) daily in the vastus lateralis IM before fasted cardio. I stack it with several GH peptides for added body recomp and fat loss. Only 2 weeks in on the carnitine. Only side is moderate pain post-injection muscle pain which subsides in a couple hours.

    • @picatog
      @picatog  5 месяцев назад

      Fantastic to hear the progress and that everything is going well. A few questions if you want to answer them, is there a reason you’re using a longer needle than normal, same with dosage at 1g? Just curious to the rationale. Also if you’re running it daily is there a reason you’re not Varying locations (like delt, glute, lat)? Might help with the reduction PIP so there’s alot more recovery time and less stress per injection site. 2mL is a lot of liquid for muscle to absorb sometimes so varied sites and 2 pins might be better to space out placement. For personals curiousity, which GH peptides have you used (if you want to share)? Also curious to research and find more/ see if you think they were effective. Anyways, keep up the progress, you’re going to do great!

      @@picatog Everyone's different, but in my years of pinning different body parts, I find the most tolerable for this particular injection and dose to be in the thighs due to the greater amount of muscle in one location and that it serves to better disperse the solution. I still have lumps from pinning in the glutes from decades back lol. I also suffered from a couple of nasty abscesses in the ventral glutes in which I had to go on antibiotics, so no more glute injections. I never tried delts; it just seems too awkward to get a good angle and there's not enough mass. Perhaps with an insulin needle, but then I'd be more prone to pain and lumping. Deep as opposed to shallow IM insures better absorption IMO. I also inject Alpha GPC choline since I have a PEMT deficiency and have to avoid TMAO (since oral choline also is a TMAO inducer) and I inject 4mL all at once (they come in single use 4mL ampules, not vials, so I have to use it all up at once). Sometimes no pain at all, other times, only slight pain for that one. As to peptides, I stack CJC129/Ipamorelin/Frag and alternate with Tesamorelin/Ipamorelin. My IGF-1 levels doubled so I know they do work. I also use AOD9604, PEG-MGF, Kisspeptin-10, IGF1-LR3 and DES, BPC-157, TB-500, Epitalon, MOTS-C and a few others known as bioregulators. I had the peptides independently analyzed by a 3rd-party lab and the purity was spot on. I monitor my bloodwork every couple months. I've also been experimenting with Enclomiphene citrate for optimizing T levels, but that was before I started on the carnitine. My total T rose from the low 400s to high 700s, but the jury's still out as to potential side effects and whether it will do more than just give me good lab values on paper. I am in lab rat territory as many of us are in the field of age reversal, hormone optimization and biohacking. I started in my 20s. I am now in my 60s.

    • @picatog
      @picatog  5 месяцев назад

      Glad that the glute injections did not result in needing to get anything cut or removed. I have recently starting using lat more for injections and feel it works quite well. I would agree that it is tough to get delt sometimes and placement is key. It is worth nothing I am using an insulin pin, so its easier. Seems like gauge wise for the amount of liquid you are using could make that a challenge. Injections of Alpha GPC do seem interesting, I have used the oral versions often with counter measures to avoid TMAO, a 4mL pin seems heavy (at least at current levels of mass for me) In terms of peptides have you found them to be quite beneficial/ what stacks seemed to yield better results for you personally? I’ve researched and heard a lot of good with CJC1295 (w/ DAC due to the low half life) using Ipamorelin to avoid the gaps between injections and some promising items with Tesamorelin. As for the list of other peptides, I am glad I have some more items to research and put into the brain reservoir. I have ran TB-500 and BPC-157 separately and had great recovery results for my body, and I do have a video in the works covering those. Thank you for doing regular bloods, the is undervalued today it seems. When I started this journey under Marek, I was at test levels in the low 200s naturally, and this has been documenting my recovery journey while I am still young in my 20s. Hope in the 40 years of optimization that its greatly improved quality of life. If there’s any messages or knowledge you want to get out in the world regarding it, let me know I would be happy to incorporate it into some videos or interview.

      @@picatog my philosophy has always been to try a compound which tells the body to make the hormone as opposed to injecting the actual hormone as in the case of GH and testosterone. That is the first pass. If those methods fail and you've tried all other natural measures, then going with exogenous HRT is really the only way. As for me, the jury is still out as to how these various compounds will affect me since I am in the early stages of assessing them.

    • @picatog
      @picatog  4 месяца назад

      That’s a great strategy at using them. I think it’s always good to test “maximum natural potential” where you have a limiting factor be your bodies abilities to produce it. Theoretically it would max out your natural reference range, so you can see response to those higher levels and then exogenous amounts should be higher than those levels/more consistent.

    What about powder form from Amazon ?

    • @picatog
      @picatog  5 месяцев назад

      So mixed answer on that one, yes and no it can work. I think I addressed it slightly in the video but with the powder and pills since it’s an oral consumption method, I would look more into “TMAO conversion from L-carnitine orally taken” since it brings in some factors to weigh. It can be mitigated by taking garlic or one of the compounds in it that stop TMAO conversion that’s not present from injection methods. Also I would make sure you check the bioavailability of oral L-Carnitine. Not sure the exact values but I know it’s about 10-40% bioavailability vs max with Injection. Certainly possible but have to consume more/frequently/with other stuff

      @@picatog so powder you think maybe 2 grams a day or more? I read lots of reviews of people saying the fishy smell obviously but was like baddddd lol. But most said no affects for weight lose and etc. I’m pulled between both sides

    • @picatog
      @picatog  5 месяцев назад +1

      It’s a tough one to judge for oral dosing, if you want to assume max bioavailability then you’d be at about 4g/day, I’d recommend splitting into 1-4 doses so you’re not nuking your gut. In terms of fat reduction I think it works, it is dependent on individual because if you take it and don’t add in stimulus, then net effect is negative. But if you’re taking it and adding in stimulus your body has a reason to oxidize fatty acids (helps promote it atleast) which would aid in the fat reduction maybe not weight loss but composition as that. One benefit that I don’t think gets the respect it deserves is L-Carnitine also works to increase androgen receptor density, which I feel like is a pathway to fat reduction possibly. Increase AR density means your body can use for of the bio available testosterone (test bonds to receptors and then can be used) so if you have your body utilizing more testosterone (even naturally in this case) it can case more energy and muscle building benefits, more muscle means a higher BMR so you can theoretically burn more calories with other factors being constant. Also personally I haven’t had issues with the odor issues, it does appear to be tied with Gut Microbiome, body adapting and some other factors, and can be overcome but it’s individual independent IMO/situational

    • @picatog
      @picatog  5 месяцев назад

      Don’t want to sell you either way, I think an experimentation on it would be good if you have the means for the potential upsides of AR density, and fatty acid oxidation. If you don’t have the funds or don’t want to add to routine it’s not needed.

      I have pinned Subq, but not intentionally or what I am aware for LCarn. Injection depth is dependent on the substance. I’ve used TB-500 and BPC-157 which were Subq and I used/tested to recover some injuries, so that’s where a majority of my Subq pins were. L-Carn should be done in the muscle.

    Iam no doctor (disclaimer), but did some research. My conclusion and personal advise/input below.
    ALCAR may not be safe; (below 12 points)
    1. When you have epilepsy
    2. Associated with higher risk of prevalent coronary artery disease
    3. Bipolar disease (in people with bipolar disorder).
    Futhermore
    4. Lower blood sugar and higher triglycerides (in people with diabetes).
    5. Trouble sleeping (best to take a bit in the morning when you come out of bed).
    6. Higher blood pressure.
    7. Headaches.
    8. When you got clogged veins and have problems with hart arteries.
    9. Seizures...
    10. Neuropathy.
    11. Hypothyroidism.
    12. Diarrhea, nausea, stomach pain, and vomiting
    Taking to much- and take to much every day.. gives the higher risks. The less you take the more safe it will be! You could use maybe 100 mg (open a capsule with 500 mg and take out the powder) take a fifth of it now and then on days when you have a lot to do. Don’t exaggerate with 500 mg or even 1000mg daily etc etc! Keep days maybe weeks months that you do not use it. Natural it comes in verry little quantities from, for example red meat. So logic to keep it small. Not to exaggerate. And if possible do not take at all.. is my opinion. When I feel down I normally take a good walk in nature 2x a day. A nice dog can make wonders to. And I make songs to help other people. That gives a lot of energy to! But not every case is the same I know. I don’t want to judge you!
    I made a song for depressed people. Goes about an accapella group that goes around in the city. And they visit people that are depressed or sick and then they sing this song for them at home or in hospital to build them up. They are still seaking members. And they hope you will join them to sing with them for other people to! I hope my vision will make your day, and that it may carry you, give you hope inpsaration, energy and vision. Check out the song; Cleaning up my room from Martin Mill (Acapella)

      This isn’t me dismissing any of the statements produced within this research and conclusions you have, but can you provide any studies that were used or sources that lead to it? There is always a lot of conflicting research for any topic, so want to make sure it’s a well supported and vetted study, analysis their contents and test methodology to see if we’re in alignment before making any comments on it. I have seen data for both sides, but I think it’s an overall lower saturated market that might still have a lot of mixed experiments released that might be harmful to those doing research for either side. The engineer in me would be open to a dialogue and reading into the studies perform to lead you to that.

    • @picatog
      @picatog  3 месяца назад

      I understand where you are coming from, but talking with Marek and some other decisions guided why that’s being held off for now. For one, it was starting with Marek, and first test that showed lower Test values. Injecting Test or other exogenous hormones would be a lifetime commitment (if its for a long enough time, systems would down regulate, so you would be dependent), I already had a higher RB Cell count, but also getting some metrics in better ranges prior to anything like that. Hoping on TRT off the bat would be somewhat of an extreme reaction though to my blood test results with lower levels, could have been due to a variety of factors that caused it to dip but not a long lasting systemic issue that TRT would fix. It would be like getting a nail in the tire, maybe a patch or plug is needed for the life of the tire to be fine instead of replacing the whole tire. Open to discussing the thought process, or Marek but all of this is currently under their medical provision.

    • @gregcatania3940
      @gregcatania3940 2 месяца назад

      I'm assuming it would make lower doses of trt more effective by upregulating androgen receptor density, thus minimizing side effects and giving you better results with lower doses of exogenous hormones. In other words, more bang for your buck.

    • @picatog
      @picatog  2 месяца назад

      @@gregcatania3940 That would be assumed to be correct. All of the pieces are there where the up-regulated androgen receptor density in theory would allow for better utilization of any TRT or substances you take that require androgen receptors to work. So in theory a lower dose would be better used, however as for if there is any literature behind that, or if it would be a substancial difference to be worth it I think more research would be needed. But I would concur with better bang for buck.
