Black Swan is absolutely insane…gets even better with Kafka but not necessary. If you have both and put in RM it gets insane, that team can brute force any content irregardless of mechanics
Rip Jiaoqiu.. when he first released, i was considering pulling him.. i never would've predicted the waves of nerfs
his e1 still makes him stronger than pela or silver wolf, and his e2 with light cone makes him a great support for dot team. i think long term he will be very worth it even with all the nerfs

@@_Gabimaru I think he's more of a whale focused unit, he might be the most busted universal debuffer ever when at E6. His E1, E2, and E6 is busted. 27% All-Type Resistance Reduction is crazy. True, all 5 star units are busted when at E6, but his debuffs are on a whole different level.

The short answer is: yes, you can still go for her if you like her even with no kafka
BS without Kafka is just fine, if you want to play her dot teams, you can play her with sampo and if I remember correctly it's just 10-15% worse than Kafka( although sampo is preferably E6 cause his eidolons help alot) And you can also kind of play her as a support because of her def shred on E. She's actually a pretty decent option in Acheron teams, you can think of her as a little bit worse pela in a support role in that sense

I want to see Jiaoqiu supporting Hook. He has permanent Burn DoT for Hook to deal more damage & generate more energy. It also makes building Hook much easier as she no longer have to go for EHR.
combine it with March/Gepard/Aventurine universal market LC, that's a whole team for Hook

Honestly, I have no clue why they nerfed Jiaoqiu so hard, if Hoyo wanted to make money, making him Acheron's best support would've made a lot of sales, but no, all the nerfs came. (Random theory, but did they drop him because Firefly's banner ended up making more sales than Acheron? And then they decided to go for a break effect meta since Feixiao is supposedly tied to break, and Lingsha is leaked to be an amazing sustain for break teams?)

They nerfed him because he made Acheron too op and that will affect their selling value of incoming DPS characters especially with E2 Acheron, basically Acheron will now make every incoming nihility balanced ("trash") around her...well it was their fault for making Acheron I guess

- Yunli is great and all but you don't need her if you have Clara and March/Lynx. If you are still fixated, just pull her LC for Clara for the taunt
- Huo Huo have great cleanse, but CC(s) and Speed Debuff will still affect your allies. Plus we have Lingsha in 2.5 who has AoE cleanse, follow up atk, can reduce toughness, is skill point neutral and have emergency heal
- JiaoQiu is 5 stars Guinaifen at this point, he works the best with Acheron but only in Pure Fiction not really great for MoC or AS. You can use Universal Market LC on Preservation character for alternative
- Black Swan is a must if you are building DoT team. She has def shred in her kit too for Acheron

@@sorashizen5130 i mean, you're quite literally getting a dps that works in all modes and have all of clara's problems fixed (healing, auto-counter, many free stats, energy) while also doing double her dmg. her value is insane and id say is a must pull tbh if feixiao ends up being butchered like jiaqiou
If Jaoqiu's recent nerfs are actually just that bad then is BlackSwan just better for Acheron (E0) (and potentially Kafka in her rerun)?

jiaoqiu is a massive victim of the nerfs.. even when he initially released he wasn't that massive of an upgrade of pela, he was good for a 5 star and could replace pela, but nowdays he's probably not that worth it to roll unless your acheron is massively struggling
yunli on the other hand has gotten buffed as of V5 and looks really good (if you can time her counters properly that is) which makes her probably one of the strongest dps'es in the game now that I think about it

I’m going for e1/e2 s1 jiao qiu (e0, e1, light cone, e2 is my order) even if they keep nerfing him just because I love his design and animations so much

You shouldn't worry then ! The thing about Jiaoqiu I don't see talked about is that it's only at E0S0 that he truly is underwhelming. It's kind of fun how no one mentions about how he is probably the most vertical investment-reliant unit in the game right now. S1 gives huge debuff and the built-in EHR + very high base ATK helps to build him to do actual damage with his burn, E1 makes his debuff very competitive with what all the Limited harmonies offer, and E2 pushes him over the edge and imo makes him way more valuable than what E2 SW or Swan would give you by a mile. He becomes the uncontested best third slot for DoT Team and still an insane debuffer that also casually throws a 50k+ DoT at enemies for other teams only considering his own debuffs btw, it can get much higher than that with other supports), free of constraints (unlike Swan requiring other teammates). I personally consider him at E2S1 to be just as worth as even other E2S1 harmonies, just in different team setups.
tl;dr if you like Jiaoqiu a lot as a character and want to give him dupes and sig, then you most lkely won't regret it !

@@kacper0563 You're misunderstanding what I meant. Jiaoqiu's E0S0 state IS unacceptable. But if you're someone who wants to invest into Jiaoqiu because you love the character, then it's good to know that you're also getting something out of it
By all means, do NOT spend your hard-earned jades, or real earned money for vertical investment on him unless Jiaoqiu is a character you like enough to go all in, and be happy to know that as an extra, your loved character is getting good value from it !
And with all that being said tho, E1S1+ Jiaoqiu IS actually a very good 5 STAR character which makes it all the sadder they put so much power budget in his eidolons and signature, since he isn't even popular enough for a vast majority of people to want to ever do that in the first place.
@@Zephyrion22 I'd argue that investing into such an underwhelming unit is a waste of resources, favourite character or not. For example, Seele was my favourite when I started playing at launch, so much so that I even got her lightcone, but I never use her or even have relics on her because she is simply garbage compared to other units I have, and I would have much preferred to have dhil instead of her.
@@kacper0563 Completely different cases here. Some characters benefit way more heavily from vertical investment than others. I'm not saying that to justify vertical investment mind you. Just, for example if I decided to go ham and get E2 on Boothill, it wouldn't be that impactful because it leads to around like a ~15% increase + slight QoL for the price of two characters, not to mention Boothill is fairly strong at E0, because they *allocated* his power budget like that
as a point of comparison, everyone mentions how characters like E2S1 Ruan Mei or E2S1 Sparkle are absolutely busted and are near impossible to powercreep in the near future, or else the game would become an absolute shitshow Well, E2S1 Jiaoqiu compared to E0 is even more of a personal + team damage increase than these two (E1S1 is usually a almost 30% damage increase for the entire TEAM and E2 literaly DOUBLES his personal damage which is nothing to scoff at since his DoT *does* contribute to team damage and isn't as bad as people make it to be due to his innately super high attack scalings).
Now the difference is Ruan Mei and Sparkle at E0S0 are very strong. But for Jiaoqiu they decided to allocate part of the power that SHOULD be baseline into his eidolons/sig. So in his case it's not that it's a waste of resources, it's that you shouldn't be having to go that far to make a unit stand on its own two feet LOL
Yunli's release might become an indirect buff to clara considering the similar playstyle. That's if counter fua become part of the meta.
We've already seen it with firefly and himeko tho that was also mostly because of harmony tb and the superbreak meta.

Feels like they want to make more middle of the road characters for now. Acheron, Firefly and Ruan Mei in particular were mistakes, kinda like the situation with genshins 1.0 4-stars that were so absurdly busted that they're still meta to this very day.
I was thinking about pulling for jade but I need black swan and huo huo. So jade has to wait.
imma try pulling JQ only, if i lose the rate off then i'll save my jades for another char like Acheron rerun..might as well E2 her if possible & stick with either SW/Pela

Despite of the nerfs, I am still going to pull for Jiaoqiu. He still provides more stacks despite of the trigger limit in pf compare to using only Pela/Guinaifen/SW. Also helps that I have S1 Aventurine.
I think going hyperfast Jiaoqiu with er rope and vonwaqc will be the go-to build, which is how I will build him. The faster he is, the sooner he can get his next ult which resets the trigger limit.
its sad that he is just a slight upgrade. and a sidegrade for dot. they could have focus his kit msotly for acheron not make him sub par in one and ok in another. may the rng bless ur pulls. praying that jade comes home here
OR get e2 Acheron and make her a Speedy unit to stack faster. Your choice 😂 i myself is in the same situation as you but i would rather invest to Acheron than pull a unit can will be replaced in a few patch. Fingers crossed 5* Tingyun is going to power creep all supports.

As someone who enjoys both huohuo and sparkle I am screwed....need to choose between one of them 😂 cauae i have neither currently on my account I have super strong dps characters like kafka, firefly, acheron and topaz already. So either huo huo or sparkle is super good for me...meta persons might say sparkle would be much better and I really like sparkle too her character but the thing is ive been waiting for huo huo rerun cause i like her too...so this is a very tough decision for me...😢😢

I think I may skip this patch, but I'm tempted to pull for E1 BS+LC because I love her as a character. Unless Yunli and Jiaoqiu are characters I grow to like, I'm skipping those two. And I don't need HuoHuo since I have Aven and Luocha, or Gallagher and Lynx which are both E6. So for now, I don't need any more sustains.
I have to get the light cone for HuoHuo and try to resume from E2 to E6. Skipping 2.4 part 2 as I'm not much of a dot person.

@@soulfulhuman8724 hard to answer. "Current" meta for the enemies is Break. Lingsha is said to be a 5* version of Gallagher, so she's a required pull. DoTs are good (when the battle buff for that mode is for DoTs), but when it's not then you need defense shred or penetration, which would require Ruan Mei or E1 Black Swan.
Pull who you want. For the waifus or for a better team comp. I will say when I was tight on funds, I grinded everything I could for E2 Huo, and she has carried and saved my ass thru it all. Huo will never leave my team.
I plan on having a full Break with Firefly, Ruan Mei, Lingsha, and the fourth being interchangeable. Team 2: IPC FuA, Robin, and Huo as pure damage output.

Yes. I don’t have Kafka and I always use Black Swan with Acheron and it’s pretty busted. The rest of the team are just Pela/Silver Wolf and Gallagher/Gepard/Fu Xuan.

They had to make jiaoqiu this bad if they want literally any dps they make in the future to be appealing. If he was even v3 strong, the only dps any player would EVER need would be acheron for meta reasons. She just does too much.

I'm going to pull Black Swan's LC over Jiaoqiu now since I already have her.
For me it's just E0S1 Yunli and then just skip the rest of the Patch depending on how 2.5 Interests me. If 2.5 doesn't interest me then I may either get E1 Huohuo or E1 Blackswan depending on how my Yunli pulls go. Want both Yunli and Jade but gonna prioritize Yunli then Start saving for Jade's Rerun alongside new Characters/3.0
Huohuo first part of the patch... So sad because I wanted to get eidolon for her but wanted to get E0 Black swan before that and then spend all the remaining for HuoHuo... Can't do that with this order

Yup she is also great with some hypercarryies that needs energy regenerating such as Dhil, argenti and you can even use her with FuA teams cuz she gives team %40 atk buff and I don't even mention Dot teams, she is literally made for it. So, yes.

@@ludicolo1106 HuoHuo is really good though? Her automatic party-wide debuff cleanse with skill passive before a character takes action is something neither Luocha nor Aventurine does. She’s invaluable against DoT and CC focused enemies.

Black Swan can work for Acheron too, and you already have Kafka who is Black Swan’s partner in crime. Plus Black Swan can be a standalone DPS too even with just Sampo/Guinaifen. So her.
kafka, BS, ruan mei, huohuo is the "premiere DoT comp" (any support or another dot subdps like gui or sam works in place of ruan mei), so if you want that then BS is a good pick
she also works with acheron but afaik she is NOT better than Pela/SW unless E1 in which case you drop SW or Pela (think it was pela but I could be wrong)

IMO the new characters are kinda mid and the reruns are strong but you don't really need them either unless you like dot and since i have Loucha i am skippingthat foxian again, easy skip for me unless dome good 4* are one the banners

both reruns are a skip for me. I already have both Huohuo and Sparkle. I even have Sparkle's LC. And both of the new banners are skips too. Yunli is not a big enough upgrade over Argenti for me to justify pulling her. And Jiaoqiu got nerfed so hard that he isn't even worth pulling anymore even for people who have Acheron, and especially for someone like me who has Acheron at E2 and E6 Pela. It would genuinely be more beneficial for my Acheron to get her LC on her rerun instead of Jiaoqiu LMAO.

I think Yunli is a great DPS to have. You have FF but if you dont have Ruan Mei she's... a bit mid. Yunli and Ratio should be able to carry you through most content. For now you should prioritize getting good sustains (HuoHuo and Lingsha should be coming soon) and then limited 5* Harmony
Yikes, you should've pulled for ruan mei before ff, I guess u can wait for huohuo or a 5 star harmony. Also you might wanna consider to getting Ratio lc on his rerun bcs it's a huge upgrade for him. I really don't know if ff is usable without rm but if she isn't good without her then u should wait for Feixiao too. For Ratio team, tingyun + pela and sustain is alr good for him. rm just had a rerun so yeah u need to wait for another dps or harmony units.
sadly none of the new characters interest me and i own the rerunned characters, ill probably either save for feixiao or get e1 swan

Okay so should i bother getting him E0S0? I have E0S1 Acheron and a Kafka/Swan team. It would definitely make pf less of a bother if i put the herta lc on him. But I'm not sure if its worth it over other characters (e1 swan or e1 Lingsha for example)
Youd be better off pulling e1 swan if you're looking to improve your dot team. Pull jiaoqu if you want to improve your e0 acheron. But honestly, acheron is already strong enough.
I'm struggling in Pure fiction so I was about to get jade. But I think e1 Black swan might be more worth it.
Jade is more worth, you can use jade+herta on one part of pure fiction, and then some kind of black swan dot team in the other part (dot teams are still the highest performing teams in pf), if you have Kafka she's really good with black swan
@kacper0563 Yes, I have kafka. But the thing is, I already have e0s1 black swan, and I thought this could be more flexible. But I guess Jade seems like the best Pure fiction unit right now, so I see why she could be better to use a guarantee for.

don't have Kafka but I might get Black swan for my Acheron since my current Acheron team is Acheron + Aventurine + lvl. 55 Sampo and Guinaifen 💀 (man I seriously need an upgrade for my Acheron team)
You can try pela + guin + aven (with trend but that lc is only good for acheron teams and not really needed) unless you're using pela for Ratio or other teams.

was going for Yunli but i need Black Swan for my Kafka
i'm pulling for swan i need her to complete my dot team (i have kafka, ruan mei, and huohuo who i'm currently rebuilding) and jiaoqiu on my alt bc i have acheron there and i want an upgrade bc i don't like having to wait for pela's ult to apply a single crimson knot stack jiaoqiu is the upgrade i need since he debuffs enemies in more ways than 1 i won't go for him on main tho since like i said i have ruan mei
So i have both Firefly and acheron. I'm probably not going to be able to gurantee jiaoqu, so do i make the attempt to pull for him for acheron, or do i wait for lingsha for Firefly?
I have aventurine and fu xuan as sustains and a e6 gallagher.
need numbers first but Lingsha is supposed to be the "5 star" Gallagher", but at e6 Gallagher is plenty strong for firefly
JQ will still be good for acheron but not as valuable outside of that team anymore, while say Lingsha (spoiler/leak info take with a grain of salt)
allegedly will have a follow-up attack so could be used in place of adventurine in the RRAT comp if u need more break than sustains (dps wise I don't think she'd do more than adventurine but again need numbers)
think it comes down to if you *want* a char > if you need them atp

Aventurine and Gepard have different kits.
In Yunli's case, she's just Clara but blast.

It's more on how hoyo is handling general powercreep in the game.

@@Shouyo_kami bronya isnt even powercrept by sparkle at all, she just works in a different team. She literally locks in every JL, Bootyhill, Blade team over Sparkle. Basically any team that isnt too sp hungry but even then E1S1 Bronya also helps with sp. 100℅ advance is just that good.

if you are a dot dps jiaoqui(E0S1) is still not worth it your better off using sampo or guinaifen thats how bad jiaoqui is for dot(imo)

I'm contemplating if I should pull for jiaoqiu to complete my acheron team with pela and aventurine or black swan to use her with acheron and start building a dot team at the same time (double benefit). Help me out y'all
Not sure if i should try my luck and pull for Jade or pull for Black Swan (i was new and couldn't get her or Kafka back then) on her rerun? I have Acheron + Signature Lightcone, Jingliu, Aventurine, Firefly, Ruan Mei, E1 Welt, Bronya & E1 Bailu as my 5* so far.
If you like to have meta characters more of anything, i think black swan it's a solid choise to start building a dot team, but if you like the gameplay of jade and Even if she is not strong as acheron or firefly and you like her... i personally pull for the characters i Will enjoy or like

i am not in the loop, how good is yunlis lc? does it still have the taunt? and do you need it or is she solid with a free2p lightcone? i have basically every meta unit, i just want to use her since i think she is cool, i dont need her to make or break my account. for perspective i have acherin e0s1 and i have never missed her e2 for example, the game was always solvable
It still has the taunt to my knowledge. The LC is so good that it literally removes Lynx from Yunli's team. It's essentially worth a teamslot.. However, bringing Lynx and using Fall of an Aeon is perfectly viable.
EDIT: Assuming FF or someone isn't already using Fall of an Aeon of course. You CAN use other LCs but I'm not sure how viable they are outside of Blades.

@@pfeilinger4463 No problem my dude. DanIL's LC, Blades LC, and maybe Clara's LC can work as a replacement but Yunli's gives a 500% agro buff and frees up that team slot. It's a nuts LC tbh.
Blade and DanIL give massive crit rate and Yunli gets 100% crit damage in her kit. So crit rate just ends up being super strong on her.
Does Yunli Need her sig LC for her to be good or is she good with f2p LC?
She could do well with Fall of an Aeon like most destruction characters
Do keep in mind though her LC gives the wearer 500% taunt value which means she's more likely to get hit, and getting hit restores her energy by a significant amount. Though you can use lynx as a sustain if you really don't wanna pull for her lc.

Hi! I just want to ask for some help here if possible. I played the game a bit in release, but I dropped it and took it again a couple of times. My characters are not very well built as of right now, so I'm trying to improve that, but it's very expensive, so I wanted to know which characters you guys think I should go for.
Last banner I got Firefly (e0), Ruan Mei (e0) and Gallagher (e6), so one team I want to make is the Firefly break comp.
The other comp I'm more interested to make is the DoT one, as I already have Kafka and I use her a lot. That's why I think Black Swan will be a must next patch. I don't really have too many gems, though, as I lost my 50/50 in Ruan Mei at 90 pity and I got her after like 70 rolls (so 160 rolls total). I literally don't know how to get more stellar jades right now.
I do not have any 5★ sustains. Natasha was my main sustain before Gallagher. I've used Fire Trailblazer more than I'd like to admit for preservation units. As for other supports (apart from Ruan Mei and H Trailblazer), I don't have a good Tingyun, but I do have an e4 Bronya and an e2 Welt (which I used to use as more of a carry with Bronya).
Which characters do you think I should go for in future banners? And which characters do you think I should build? I don't have Lynx btw.
My idea is to skip Huohuo for the upcoming fire abundance character and to try and get Black Swan, but maybe I should just steak to Gallagher for my break team and get Huohuo for my DoT team instead of the new character. I don't know if I'll be able to get enough stellar jade for both Houhuo and Black Swan, though. Maybe I should get some other support for the DoT team and replace Bronya. It's hard, because I spent a lot of resources on Bronya already

Hmm, that's a good question. I've got both Huohuo and Black Swan personally and they're both great units. If you love your Kafka dot team, both would be excellent additions. The question is which first.
Both have a bit of versatility to them. Huohuo is still great outside of Dot teams for energy hungry units. Plus that constant cleanse is so fun. While Swan is built for Dot teams, she's also an excellent choice for an Acheron team with her constant debuffs and defense drop on skill. Like you mentioned, there are upcoming limited sustains that would be a good choice. And for a Kafka team, you could use a Guinaifen to get a similar effect to Swan.
Genuinely, you wouldn't go wrong with either choice. My personal opinion is to pick which ever charachter you love the personality of more. Both won't get a rerun for a bit, so to avoid the regrets and fomo, I'd say pick on personality instead of kit. Watch the character trailers again and decide from there.
Personally, I love the socially anxious wooby that is Huohuo, but Swan has a ton of appeal as well. Hope this helped get your thoughts in order!
