I recently purchased this book, and it one of my favorite art books. It has inspired me to keep an art journal. Teoh your urban sketching videos made me fall in love with watercolors.
I love these book reviews. Where I live, there are no bookstores with imported art books, so I need to buy on the internet. And thanks to your reviews I can "flip" them all. Thank you so much for this video.

I have got IPAD PRO 10,5 with pencil.. I want to draw simple stuff maybe some sketches but I dont know where to start.. should I watch training videos or read educational books? which is the best way to start practising.. can you give me some advice? I love your channel.. thank you, Teoh!
Thanks so much for the walkthrough!! Yet another book that says, “Oh, you don’t need to know how to draw” but only has beautiful illustrations that a non-drawer like me could never do. Are there any books like this that say you don’t need to know how to draw and actually MEAN it? And show examples of beginner-level drawings???? Please lmk if anyone knows of any!!!
Thanks so much for the reply! I have been trying to learn to draw most of my life (I am 50+) w/books & live classes (even a week seminar w/B. Edwards!) but nothing has ever helped. My drawings now don’t look that different from ones 30 years ago. So it’s probably way past time to accept that my level is what it is. That’s why a book that’s more realistic in showing how to use art in journaling when one isn’t very good would be great! But publishers probably figure a book that wasn’t gorgeous wouldn’t sell. :-( Thanks again!!

And I be started drawing because I don't want to spend my day in front of TV/PC/smartfon. I maybe you could consider not to waste your time with yoytube and create art instead? It's definitely more gratifying ... I promise!
