  • There are three questions I hear Goldendoodle puppy owners ask again and again. When my dog was a puppy, I asked the same things too.
    I talk about Goldendoodle coats, Goldendoodle sizes, and about their appearance.... when your doodle puppy becomes an adult.
    In this video, I will share my answers about my Goldendoodle Sophie now she is an adult and let you know about some of the many variables to take into account.
    For a detailed description of Sophie's coat, check out this video: • GOLDENDOODLE: My Dog'...
    With kindness,
    Joanna

    Sophie is a sweetheart 💛 Does she shed a lot?

      Thank you Marcella :) Sophie hardly sheds at all. Almost nothing. It's not always the case with Goldendoodles though. I made this video about the breed, including the different types of coats and coat characteristics ruclips.net/video/F4CPh-lxT9k/видео.html

    My standard F1 is 87 days old and he sheds do you think this is going to be going to be the normal as he grows his adult coat? I allergic and this is why I went with a goldendoodle. But obviously he’s family now so either way but hoping it stops when his adult coat comes.

      Hi Nathan, what joy that you have a goldendoodle pup in your life! It's hard to tell about the coat exactly but given they're half golden retriever (a breed that sheds) it certainly does happen. Another thing is that there's a puppy coat and an adult coat that they get at around 1 year old which may be different. I made this video about all the breed characteristics (including coats) which may help. All the best x ruclips.net/video/F4CPh-lxT9k/видео.html

    hi, do you happen to know how to distinguish micro/toy/petite mini golden doodle? are these words for one type? thanks

    • @MyGoldendoodleDiary
      @MyGoldendoodleDiary  2 года назад +1

      Hi, broadly speaking, it depends on the size of poodle (toy, mini, moyen or standard) that the golden retriever is bred with. This video may help a little more ruclips.net/video/F4CPh-lxT9k/видео.html

    I’m getting a GD in 3 weeks.
    He will be 8 weeks.
    How often do you feed in one day??? TIA

    • @MyGoldendoodleDiary
      @MyGoldendoodleDiary  Год назад +1

      Hi Jasmyn, that's exciting for you. At first use whatever food the puppy is being fed by the breeder. if you would like to change the diet, do this very gradually by introducing a small portion of the new food with the old food a little at a time at first then over a week or 2 greater proportions of the new. I fed my dog 3 times a day when she was very little, but when she was about 4 months old I changed to twice a day. Keep weighing your pup so you know what quantity of food to feed it in relation to its weight as it is growing (so as not to overfeed or underfeed). All the best x
