Classy improv from Zaccai Curtis. Sheet music trivia (first to answer correctly gets PDF): what type of approach is present in measure 57? (refer to my “Inside The Mind” videoseries)
Have been listening to him quite a bit recently and even tuned into some of these videos too on his channel, so funny that you should transcribe this- as listened to recently! Have been listening quite a lot to the trio album: ‘Raise Up Off With Me’ with the late Ralph Peterson. He does a great version of ‘Bouncing with Bud’ on this album.. Keep up the good work bro 🙏
I hope this is not a silly question but I've been wanting to know what exactly is meant by the notes drawn as "x". I can't distinguish whether or not they are actually played, or if there's some sort of light contact, not enough to set the hammer to the wire, and you have guessed what note they were thinking of? Is there any advice you could give an amateur pianist-dabbler on how to play such a note?
I think it refers to notes that appear to be there, but that cannot be definitively discerned by the transcriber. It's up to you to fill in the blanks.
@@JoeLinux2000 Thanks there, I'd assumed something like that, but without knowing for sure. It's the dual nature of sheet music - which functions both as an archive of a musical event and a set of instructions of how to recreate the event. I was mainly wondering what nature of instruction it was, if any.
@@TimothyGondola Why thank you, boss. I can't open the notes link. I've looked at a couple of vids using the term "ghost notes" and they appear (as instructions to the performer) to be indistinguishable from teeny-tiny notes, the ones you get all over Chopin (and this transcription right here, too).
have you guys accepted Jesus as your personal savior from your sins? let me explain we have all sinned.. that sin dooms us to hell.. God sent His son Jesus to die for our sins and make the sacrifice necessary to redeem us for our sins.. Jesus was buried but rose again on the thrid day from the grave and beat death!! Believe in the truth that Jesus died for you was buried but rose again the third day! to be saved you must repent of your sins, believe and put your faith in Jesus, and in faith, call upon Jesus and ask Him to forgive your sins and Save your soul! Will you accept Jesus as your savior?

Spiral or zigzag approach?
Chromatic approach with Chord Outline ? :)
Three note chromatic enclosure of the root of Dm7 then Dm7 chord outline ascending.
@@carsonparker4238 Spiral or, synonymously "encircle" approach is correct! send me a message @timothygondola.com/contact
Mumbling along like Bud. Always a good sign.

These are "percussively implied ghost notes" as described in my Transcriber's Notes, linked in the description!
