Halloween 1985, I was 13 and this came on the radio. I hit record, but never got the name of the band. Next song on: Peter Schelling - Major Tom Then: Trans-X - Living on Video And: Bronski Beat - Why? First time hearing any of them. Maybe the most formative night of my teens.

Only been looking for this for 30 years! Think I probably heard it twice, John Peel maybe? Put it on my "Lookfors" list and has proved THE most illusive (along with a song I faintly recalled by someone I thought was Corolla de Ville and the only title I had was 'something about Uncle John' - turns out it was Cruella de Ville and Drunken Uncle John!). Must have been in my late teens when I heard this - now in my 50's it sounds a bit silly, but wow still! Thanks for posting it whoever. RUclips gets better and better IMHO - a few years ago, searches for this were fruitless. That said the info I had was Eagles Night Off, although I did have the title correct. Despite that I've never found a trace on the internet over probably the past 10 to 15 years. Anyway thanks, bit like discovering a part of your dim and distant. If you've got songs in your head that you've looked for before but couldn't find, say 2 or 3 years ago (when I probably looked last) do it again now, the internet just gets bigger and bigger and better and better for this sort of thing.
I've been trying to get in touch with Jane our violin player ever since I got a message from her but couldn't reply for some reason. if anyone knows her please let her know. suzanne
not sure if this is the same band, but the bass player of the band I knew back then was in fact best man (of the then husband) at my first wedding. Used to go see them
