    Every country has the right to defend itself. If china has various number of missiles and rockets and military equipment, including those islands illegally converted into military base inside the Philippines Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ), then why Philippines cannot have few?
    Philippines is peace loving country with high regard to human consideration and is very responsible country.

      @@goochigoochs3836The Philippines keeps accusing China of “ bullying and intimidating smaller countries” without mentioning at all the Philippine occupation of and encroachment on China’s territory in Nansha Qundao. That is a real propaganda “trap”. On the issue of Ren’ai Jiao, it’s not the size, but the behavior of a country that determines who is right and who is wrong.
      Right after the Philippines deliberately grounded its warship on Ren’ai Jiao in 1999, which seriously violated China’s sovereignty, China made démarches to the Philippines, and the Philippines promised to tow away the warship several times. A senior official of the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs made it clear that the Philippines had no intention of building any facility on Ren’ai Jiao and it doesn’t want to and will not be the first country to violate the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea (DOC). But 25 years on, not only hasn’t the Philippines fulfilled its promise to tow away the warship, it has even attempted to send construction materials for large-scale repair and reinforcement of the warship in order to build permanent structures on Ren’ai Jiao. The Philippines has gone back on its words, and stirred up trouble to provoke China. This is not only breach of the understandings between the two sides on handling the Ren’ai Jiao issue, but also a violation of the DOC, especially its Article 5 on refraining from action of inhabiting on the presently uninhabited islands, reefs, shoals, cays, and other features. The Philippines is clearly responsible for the current tensions in the South China Sea.
      China and ASEAN countries have long been committed to properly managing and resolving disputes through dialogue and consultation between states directly involved, and worked together to jointly maintain peace and stability in the South China Sea, which has kept the South China Sea generally stable. But for some time, the Philippines has been pulling non-regional actors into the South China Sea affairs to back Philippine provocations and violation of China’s sovereignty. The Philippines has been pursing selfish gains at the expense of the consensus reached by countries in the region. This is the main reason why the situation in the the South China Sea has escalated and become more complicated.
      The Philippines need to respect the facts, observe the relevant understandings between the two sides and DOC provisions, follow the consensus reached between China and ASEAN countries, and return to the right track of properly managing and resolving disputes through dialogue and consultation as soon as possible.

    Whether to choose US or have good relationship with China, please remember, previous administration of the Philippines was more close/friendlier to China and kept on reprimanding the US. US because of this just distanced themselves temporarily with the Philippines. But still even if US is distancing themselves, China never stopped giving problems to the Philippines from water cannon attacks on supply ships to even ramming and destroying a Filipino fishing boat leaving Filipino fishermen floating at the sea. These still happened even if that previous government was in good terms with China. So in the end the previous government still end up allowing the supposed to be cancelled US-Philippine Balikatan military drills to continue.

      and that choice will make the philippines in the worst position in the south china sea dispute, choosing the Ukrainian way rather than the vietnamese way is the worst.
      Even though Vietnam also has a territorial dispute between china and the philippines and it actually worst as this both countries already has a shooting war in the spratlys
      its actually vietnam that is winning the south china sea by befriending both US and china and the philippines, they manage to enlarge their islands in the spratlys through reclamations almost as big as china without a single protest from the 3 countries, vietnamese fisherman can also fish on scarborough shoal without a problem with the chinese unlike the filipinos
      at the economic side vietnam is also winning as both china and the US poured investments in their country,
      while the philippines is always at the sidelines, and recently trump just froze all foreign aid to all countries except israel and egypt, that is the level of importance the philippines have to the US
      and in 2024 vietnam just dethroned the phillippines as the biggest exporter of bananas to china because of the geopolitical tension
      vietnam also overtakes the philippines on the number of chinese tourist visiting their country

      @raw9973 Vietnamese fishing without any problems? I believe you were not informed of the recent October 2024 incident were 10 Vietnamese Fishermen were attacked violently by 40 armed Chinese leaving them unconcious, injured and traumatized were several are taken to the hospital for treatment. And Vietnam only response was a protest and condemning the incident. And in November Vietnam demanded Beijing to released their detained fishermen and their boats that were taken near rhe Parcel Islands.
      Is this the type of friendship you want.
      Also just like the Philippines, Vietnam is also now arming themselves with Brahmos missiles which is finalizing the deal this year. If they are this friendoy with China whynwould they need this kind of missiles for? They can just buy less sophisticated and powerful missiles if there is no conflicts.

      PH literally tried every peaceful option possible for years even after China kept breaking their promise. Xi Jin Ping can only blame himself for this.

    • @conti-vl6tx
      @conti-vl6tx 7 дней назад

      Ren’ai Jiao is part of China’s Nansha Qundao and has always been part of China’s territory. On 23th March, the Philippines once again broke its promise by sending a supply vessel and two Coast Guard vessels to illegally intrude into the adjacent waters of Ren’ai Jiao in the name of resupply of necessities. In fact, this Philippine resupply mission is not to send necessities, but to bring construction materials to the military vessel illegally grounded at Ren’ai Jiao for its repair and reinforcement in an attempt to build a permanent outpost on China’s uninhabited reef so as to permanently and illegally occupy Ren’ai Jiao. The Philippines has repeatedly gone back on its own words, refused to fulfill its commitment, seriously violated its promise to China and violated Article 5 of the DOC. In the face of the intrusion by the Philippine vessels, China Coast Guard had to take necessary law enforcement measures. The actions taken on the scene were justified, lawful, professional, restrained, and beyond reproach. China urges the Philippines to immediately stop infringing on China’s sovereignty and rights and stop the provocations. If the Philippines does not change course, China will continue to take resolute steps to safeguard its territorial sovereignty and maritime rights and interests.
      The relevant US statement is a clear misrepresentation of facts. The US is not a party to the South China Sea issue, yet it keeps meddling in the issue, sowing discord concerning maritime issues between China and the Philippines and falsely accusing China, causing instability in the region. The US has arbitrarily threatened to resort to the US-Philippines Mutual Defense Treaty and endorsed the Philippines’ acts of infringing on China’s sovereignty. Such moves seriously violate the purposes and principles of the UN Charter and jeopardize regional peace and stability.
      The South China Sea Arbitration violated the basic principle of state consent in international law. The award is illegal, null and void, and has no binding effect whatsoever. Any attempt of citing the illegal award of the South China Sea Arbitration to undermine China’s territorial sovereignty and maritime rights and interests will not succeed. There has never been any problem with the freedom of navigation in the South China Sea. Over 100,000 merchant vessels now travel in the region annually and not a single ship has ever encountered hurdles. However, the US and certain countries made infringements and provocations in the South China Sea in the name of freedom of navigation, undermining peace and stability in the South China Sea. This is sheer gangster logic.
      China is committed to safeguarding its territorial sovereignty and maritime rights and interests, and at the same time working with regional countries to keep the South China Sea peaceful and stable. Let's hope that relevant parties will see the facts and truth, uphold objectiveness, and fully respect China’s rights and interests and the efforts made by regional countries for a peaceful and stable South China Sea.

      I do wish the USA would pay filipinos a higher wage though instead of slave wages. There is zero reason why geographic location should dictate how much money you get. In the USA we want a federal minimum wage of $17 an hour no matter the cost of living in each state, why can't we also have a minimum wage for workers outside of the USA that is equal to what Americans get.

    • @leandrobayonito
      @leandrobayonito 2 дня назад

      @randydrew66 I don't know what you are saying.
      Why do you want the US to pay the wages in the Philippines, we are independent of the jurisdiction.
      Minimum wages? The Philippine Congress passed the law, increasing such wages, not the US. We are an independent republic. Don't refer to the history that never exists today.

      @@leandrobayonito I am talking about workers in the Philippines working for American businesses. A McDonalds worker in the Philippines should make at least 10k PHP a day or 300k a month because that is the wage they would get if they were in the USA. America should not be allowed to pay them less simply because they are not in the USA. If you are an American company you should pay fair wages to everyone in the world.

    It is common sense, you are not required to disclose to your adversary what or how much of your "nuclear weapons" you possess. This kind of constructive concealment prevents your adversary from moving closer to you. While America believes it can establish a strong foothold in the Indo-Pacific, China and Russia are equally capable of doing the same in America's backyard, such as Cuba and Mexico. This is a mutually "balancing" act which hopefully don't result in WWIII by America impulsion and manipulation of its stupid allies in Asia pacific.

      2025-1-23 More than 50,000 people in communities north of Los Angeles have been told to evacuate. That's as a new wildfire sweeps rapidly across the nearby mountains, fuelled by strong winds. The Hughes Fire has already engulfed around 40 square kilometers of brush, covering the region in thick, dark smoke. Red flag warnings are in effect across the area, which is only 60 kilometers away from the neighborhoods devastated by the recent Palisades and Eaton fires.

      Sino-Japanese Peace Treaty
      Article 2
      It is recognized under Treaty of Peace with Japan signed at San Francisco, Japan has renounced all right, title, and claim to Taiwan and penguin as well as Spartly Islands and Paracel Islands.
      OBEY WW2 ORDER, OR DEFEAT CCP IF YOU WANT TO REWRITE IT.
      NO?
      PLA killed 100+ South Vietnam soldiers and retook Paracel Islands in 1974, PLA killed 100,000+ viet cong soldiers, militiamen, civilian with real cannon, PLA navy killed 64 viet cong soldiers and retook Johnson South Reef Spratly in 1988,
      So today's CCP water cannon actions were justified, lawful, professional, restrained, and beyond reproach. With respect, Don't take and mistake CCP's restraint as weakness and provocation.
