Smith has run him a few times and said he would blow him off the track if he got in his way (that isnt a teammate, that is a desperate guy who knows he does not have the same abilities as the new kid). Deegan decided he wasnt going to take that. I love that and I think Deegan had a point to prove to a teammate who was trying to intimidate him and he did not get the result he wanted. Deegan had every reason to race hard and not let him by. Gate picks, qualifying times etc. Smith is obviously not a critical thinker and this young boy stood up for himself and did not back down. It would have happened sooner or later. I am proud of Deegan and he is NOT the reason Smith imploded and couldnt make the main. Smith did that all on his own. HUGE props to Deegan, he is a competitor and made a point that he will not back down on the track. I love it!

Smitty is 27, hes been racing 250 Pro for years and still can't do much with it, not fast enough for 450, Smitty is on his way out and had all his chances plus hes only 5th in points and not even racing for the championship. Smitty screwed himself after over and over, he did it all to himself. Rubbings Racing!

Thinking about what happened and how mellow Haiden Deegan is. I would suspect that this has been brewing for awhile. Haiden has finally stood up to the bully. Smith obviously hit a nerve??
thats what other people have said too. maybe jordan has bullied deegan before on track but if so i havent seen it. i really havent seen jordan smith do anything to anyone this season thats worthy of any kind of retaliation.

@@didickcheeseburger Jordan's been bullying Haiden all season on the track during several races. Haiden would give him the pass when he had the log the laps mindset and Jordan would still run him high or off the track.
Dude I totally agree and I noticed in the video of the Deegans RUclips channel when they both train in the sand on 450s and Haiden schooled him and in the second part of training smirh says quote let the young dwag, young buck go first if he gets in my way I'll take him out and Haiden schooled him again . I feel Smith is envious of Haiden being who he is and second Haiden is doing better than him overall in the racing and Smith is a rider expected to win , podium and Haiden is the rookie showing him up with better results and third Smith has pushed Haiden high in 2-3 races and Haiden hasn't retaliated and let him pass Haiden has thought I'm not letting you push me around any more. It's all on smith he can't handle pressure he falls apart and I feel Haiden is the better rider and results and the points show that. As for Ricky going on like he did is just crazy

Couple times early in the season deegan was getting out the way looking over his shoulder knowing smith was faster n teammate he goes high in a corner n smith ran all way up on him hitting him. Rem last week thrasher hit the shit out of smith lap 1 to pass him. It's been brewing. Jordan is jealous thought he'd come into star n bobby would say he's main guy everyone else follow suit but Bobby runs a practice as team but every man for himself. Smith won't be back next yr n prob not for mx
That one is on Jordan. He tried to run Deegan into the tough blocks on that last corner but didn’t have the position and took himself out. He could’ve easily cut down a little and probably passed him on the next lap.

i think deegan started the whole thing but id have expected jordan being the more experienced and faster rider wouldve been smarter and not played games with him. he couldve been more patient and passed deegan at another opportunity with no problem and he had plenty of time. it kinda makes sense when people say there was preexisting animosity because i really didnt expect jordan to play into deegans games like that. it really cost him. he was 3rd in points and now 5th with not qualifying for the main

I think this one is on Smith. He was fast and caught up to Deegan and wanted to race him hard. I think during the first high block from Deegan at the start of all of this, Deegan probably didnt know he was there and was going to give him the inside. Smith just went full stupid after that.
usually the faster rider doesnt want to race anyone hard. they want to get around the slower rider and move on. it makes more sense that deegan as the slower rider would be the one racing hard as shown by running smith up to the tuff blocks on multiple occasions as well as slowing to try to take his line. deegan knew he was there because he took that defensive line instead of the fast line through the corner

Deegan made a mistake and that's why Smith made up time on Deegan right before the whoops given himself a better drive into and out of the whoops. that's all on Smith. cuts across in mechanics area, then Haiden checks where he's at and Smith goes around him, instead of motoring away he slows down to get in line with Haiden, but Danger Boy too gnarly for that so he takes him high next corner, and finally Smith's answer his to run into Haiden taking himself down.

We all raced, race or watch dirt bike racing because this is what it's all about, tough racing, well done to both riders for putting up a good fight, sorry to say, but Deegan was the better racer on this occasion and it showed. I don't buy the team mate thing, can you imagine how crap racing would be if all the Start Yamaha's riders, or any team mates for that matter tip-toed around each other during races.

Looked like they were just having fun playing around and it back fired for Smith. They probably both thought their positions were secure, but nothing secure till it's over. Probably a little aggressive for a heat race, but was exciting to watch so putting on a show for the fans was cool.

Smith is plainly faster. If Deegan had let him by he would have got his gate pick anyway, if he could fend off Martin, which was unlikely because Martin was also faster . If he had managed to fend of Smith without the knock down, Smith would have tried to pass him again anyway. I'm with Carmichael on this. Deegan fucked this up, handed the heat win to another team and started a sequence of events that lead to his team being week in the main.

You explain this great, glad that you noticed Smith doing the brake checking while in the lead. To me i think smith was the faster rider when the gate dropped. his bike stalled and wouldnt start and put him in the back in lcq
he kept having mistakes probably from overriding trying to play catch up after he went down the first time and he wasnt able to qualify. same thing in the lcq but he almost made it from way back but dude in 4th place blocked the inside into the last corner and he went down trying to go outside. i really wanted him to get into the main too

Jordan Smith dinked around on second crossover. if he waited till whoops again was easy pass! This incident din't cost Jordan the race or making it into the main event. His following 2 crashes put him LCQ. His mistake in LCQ, 1. poor start and then 2. stalling the bike and still had opportunity in last corner but went outside. Yes there was racing issue in heat #1, but rest was on Jordan.
If he just kept racing once he made the pass it would of been all over instead of the stupid brake check shit

Anytime your teammate has speed on you in the heat, it is always wisest to let him actually complete the pass he is making on you(instead of pushing him to the blocks and making contact with him risking altercation and problems) and follow him to find where he is faster. This prepares you better for the main. Deegan obviously started the titty twisting here and JS played into it like an idiot. Which then made for two idiots.
Stupid move for teammates, if they can't figure out how to stay out of the situation they need sat down and talked to , this isn't the Deagan show , sure you want to already put him in the hall of fame and crown him champion because they already bought the position and need him to represent that position but dirty shit shouldn't be aloud because they already spent the money for it , I'm not a fan yet , he has some growing to do and needs to put in the time and work at this level because right now I just see it as a blue bike out there , maybe when he is winning I'll recognize him but I've seen many of the best riders today that when they first came out they won many races their rookie year and proved themselves without the money being the lead way in , so I'll wait til he is winning multiple races and collecting championships before I recognize him as a potential spot with the greatest riders

Sort of had a feeling this has been building. There's been a few times this season where Smith has run Deegan real wide and been aggressive. The bigger picture is, the rookie wants to try win as much as pos, even if it's a heat race. Smith being the more experienced rider, should know not to get into these battles in heats when nothings really on the line. Personally don't think he's liking that the Rookie, isn't so Rookie. Got stupid and clearly went for the t-bone only for it to go wrong 😂 when he should of just waited a lap then passed him in the whoops. Poor choice for a "vet" then his night got worse from then on, while Haiden went on to podium. Seems the kids mentally better

I think deegan did the right thing he's a smart racer, notice how he fully leans the bike over so he doesn't get bump to the out side, did a similar move on Martin, he leans in enough so the guy on the in side high-sides on his mid to rear of the bike and it's racing Smith hand no right to race deegan but 1 silly decision lead to lots of mistakes and lost out on a main event 😂 yet deegans on podium getting TV time and Smith no where he should know better

14 - 16 you can see Smith looking over at Deegan. The only time I've ever seen someone deliberately doing that while riding is to despite someone. Smith definitely has it out for Deegan it seems.
