If you had a few kids and a wife wouldn't you just try to start a new life? Remember they are just regular people like you or me, at least try to put yourself in their shoes to understand them.

In my younger years I grew up in Eastman Georgia which is where I'm from and where my family is from. Sometimes we didn't have no crops because we had pasts that got into them and destroyed them. We also raised our own meat and hunted. Quite a few times we didn't have nothing to eat but beans and cornbread but I wouldn't trade those days for nothing I love the way I grew up because it gave me a sense of purpose! My daddy would have rather starve than us have food stamps and assistance from the government. My daddy always said if can't make it we can't make it but I'm going to find a way. And he always did and so did my granddaddy. My daddy also and so did my mom also knew that God would always help us find a way. God never let us down on that. I grew up a redneck country girl and I wouldn't have it any other way and I am so proud of my upbringing. Living on a farm growing your own food and animals and hunting for our food and we even ate fried rattlesnake meat which is really good. An offbeat taste of chicken. Anybody that has raised their own food and animals along with hunting, really taught me the true way of life. You have to work for what you need. And it pisses me off to the fullest about everybody wanting handouts instead of getting out and making the money them damn selves!!! You hit the nail on the head with this song too!!!
