I've made one of your slab recently ! It's really great can't wait to try this one! Sadly in france half foam darts aren't really popular and modding and making nerfs guns isn't popular either :/ Just to know, so i may use one of theses easily with friends once it's out, you think it'd be complicated to modify the mag holder to put a classic nerf one with long darts ? I may model one myself so i can use this one with friends ^^ Also thank you for working with out of darts, i buy everything from him now that i discovered that with american norms even aluminum tubes aren't the sames as the ones we got in europe :') had a lot of trouble with air flow because of this until recently xd Anyway thanks a lot for your work ! I hope to make my own flywheelers one day !
Using a long dart mag would be a pretty easy modification to make, but it would require lengthening almost every part of the design. It’s a simple change, but a really big change.
The Cynthia looks clean, simple, efficient, and rugged. Nice consideration for beards too lol. Love that little touch. I liked everything I saw so far. Awesome work, Silly.
Beautiful design, without the thumbhole you could have an emergency jolt clipped into the back under the plunger tube with like a U clip that clips onto the jolt barrel, orrrr there's room to hold a talon mag 👀
I've been trying to design a blaster concept with a floating plunger, and this covers a lot of the safety concerns I had with a 3D-printed blaster with a floating plunger. I like the attention to detail.
Very nice! Can't wait to see it in production. Suggestion: Keep the large front area with "Cynthia" and offer a Slab-style foregrip as a rail cover cover that can be positioned on the lower Picatinny rail.
As always great stuff!!!! May I offer a suggestion???..... Add an option for picatinny rail on the sides of blaster.....So they have the option to...... say......Mount the HERJA from OOD on the side???
I was wondering why you didn't just put a cover over the entirety of the bolt section like in the variant. The guide is super smart thinking. Also having the the slab catch is genius. that's such a robust system that you've created. Very excited about this. Btw, the pink elastic is similar to the variant that holds the tension for the catch. It wasn't the best, but it worked. Your idea with the spring was a remix I did for the variant.
Hey Silly, how do you go about getting the test hardware kits for your prototypes? Do you just reach out to OOD and say hey i need these parts? Always wondered how that worked
I send either OOD or SFI a list of stuff I need, I pay them what they say it costs, and they send it over. Or, I order bulk hardware from McMaster Carr
I was considering modding the b-variant to have a similar catch system to what you're doing with the SLAB, but with the full length springs the plunger guide rod would need to be long enough to stab your shoulder to index with the guide.
I know this is primarily a nerf design channel, but I have to ask what printer are you using to get such amazing 3D prints? Or are you sanding over them after the fact? It might just be the video or something but I can't even see the layer lines lol, that's amazing Edit: I just found your reel showing off the new printer setup, looks like just an ender 3 v2 and then an enclosure with an extraction setup in case anyone else was wondering
Actually, I recently upgraded from my Ender 3 v2 to a Bambulab P1P! The print settings I use means the quality is pretty much the same between the two, but the P1P does that same quality 3x faster. And it is a LOT nicer to use than my Ender. Definitely a worthy upgrade.
@@Sillybutts wow I've never really looked into the more expensive 3d printers, I'm currently using an old ctc bizer I got probably 5 years ago and I've been looking for an upgrade, and I was looking at the ender 3, but since that's only about $200 more expensive and has so many more features I'll definitely consider that as an option, thanks for sharing

@@Sillybutts Well I'll try and let you know once it releases :D
@@linkdelodela I'd imagine you would also need a Caliburn ram instead of a Talon Claw one as well

looks awesome! huge respect that you’ve set out to fix the issues from the Indra and create a better blaster.

Nice to see how you are thinking through the system.
This doesn't look like a protype at all. love the design. looking forward for the release.
I usually finish most of any design in CAD before beginning any prints. So most of my first prototypes are pretty much complete blasters.

The first thing said in this video: "Hello there."
Me: "General Kenobi!"

All I'm hearing is "SLAB but Bolt Action"
Not really, not at all lol. But I do have one WIP.
This looks exciting.
more cool blaster horayyyy. Is there a version with the bolt on the other side tho?
Just mirror the files in the slicer. Only the bolt would need to be mirrored.
@@Sillybutts thats actually really cool that its designed like that.. ig it makes sense because you said its compatible with all indra bolts
Awesome. Will get one when its availible
I know you ran out of filament hence the pink section but that stripe should remain. It’s a cool Easter egg feature.
I so badly want a reversed angled magwell version
It is planned.
This is awesome! Good job
Curious to see the skinny version, nice build.
How many O-rings are there on the plunger head?
Two.

Are you going to make a bolt for left handed players?
This has left handed, just mirror two parts in the slicer :)
Do you print in PLA or PETG?
All PLA. All Hatchbox.
