- SIllybutts is a maniac when it comes to designing blasters, and Silly's Lever Action Blaster (SLAB) is one of his best designs yet. Depending on the spring you choose, it's a satisfying and fun springer for plinking, super-stock, and HvZ; surely it's the primary you bring to your next game.
While Sillybutts also has a video tutorial, we thought we could improve on it and update it to the current file set in our crystal-clear build guide style. We hope you enjoy and find the blaster fun to build along with us!

By chance, we published this tutorial right as Sillybutts announced his new bolt action blaster: Cynthia. Check out his video and send him some love! ruclips.net/video/mIW0dAyOCv0/видео.html
:D
I literally just started printing my slab and this came out 😂😂
Thank you so much Luke for giving me the replacement part to my Proud papa. you don’t know how much fun I’ve had with it. thank you so so so so much!!
I love these videos. You guys walked me through my first flywheel mod and helped me with several other blasters. You guys rock.
Thanks for your support!
i do not have a 3d printer, nor do i intend to purchase the kit at this current point in time, nor do i remember subscribing to yall, but this was actually really interesting! nice video!
Thank you!
I haven’t even bought a SLAB but this is still entertaining to watch
Great video! This is Jim, a member of the Kansas City Nerf Club. I won my club's raffle for a hardware kit last weekend and chose this one. I'm not the best at modding or building blasters yet. Another club member will assemble/tune the SLAB with me looking over a shoulder or perhaps building/tuning with my shoulder being looked over. Videos like this are extremely helpful and appreciated.
This is by far and away my favorite blaster. Purchased a parts from you last December and a second parts kit yesterday. Thank you for the excellent service and this build video!
You're welcome! Thanks for supporting Sillybutts and the shop!
Perfect timing, I just bought mine yesterday from you guys!
Im consistently impressed with how professional outofdarts is and how much you do for the hobby. Look out for my build in a week or two, ill proudly mention who i got the hardware from
Thanks for your kind words, and for supporting the shop!
Yo I LOVE this!!
Hi, Luke. You have a great shop.
Once you get your hands on a Unicorn could you check compatibility with the Harrier side(bolt) prime and Crooked Cousin/Little Rocket comfortability, please. Please show it in the review for visual reference, too.
Will do!
I can not find the front sling piece you use in this video. I’ve gone thru the files and found other pieces for that area but not the one used in this video.
Click on (experimental and optional) folder then click on (long plunger rods that stick out the front) folder. The front sling piece that Luke is using is called (Muzzle_BottlenoseSling.stl)
Wow, is that thing cool.
Holy hairpieces that took a lot of farsteners.
How much
Having trouble de-priming ! What do I do?
This might be a dumb question but after you add the loctite to the threaded rod is it still possible to turn it to tune it?
What printer do you use for all your 3D printed blasters?
Are these 4-40 3/8 flathead screws? Seems to be the standard for nerf.
what if i use that catch in the lynx...........
Hmm, does anyone know if Out of Darts takes suggestions on blasters? Like, if a fan had a idea could we share it somewhere?
Hey, doubt you'll see this, but for a while I've had this really funny idea for a nerf mod:
A judge, with an auto-compressor, that shoots rockets.
What do you think?
@OUT OF DARTS
I know this isn't what this video is about but I was wondering if you all know a good place online to learn about designing your own 3d printed blasters. I personally already have a background in 3d modeling and I can figure out the printing stuff so I am looking specifically for the mechanical design/engineering side of it. I know I could just take mechanical engineering classes but was wondering if there is a good resource to learn as it applies to foam flinging blasters specifically?
Thanks.
Out of darts plz reply
I have an idea for a blaster and can you tell me what the flaws are
The idea is: what if you had a machine pull back a spring but that would be slow so have 2 or 3 springs and have an accurate automatic blaster that shoots fast
That's called an AEB. They do exist, and Silly has been working on one. They're very common in Airsoft, but foam darts need roughly double the spring energy to fly the same speed as a BB pellet.
Question, has anyone designed a side panel with picatinny on it? If anyone knows of one and could possibly help with a buy link that'd be awesome. I don't have a 3d printer. Thank you in advance!
Hi Luke, I would like to order something from your shop, do you also send to Germany?
We do ship a limited selection of parts and hardware to Germany and other countries in Europe. However, due to shipping and customs issues, we're no longer able to send fully-assembled blasters outside the US and Canada.
@@outofdarts I have a 3d printer, do you send the kit of all I can't print? I live in Belgium, we miss guys like you in EU :D
Is it bad to dry fire this blaster?
It's generally a bad idea to dry-fire any strong piston blaster. With a clear path to the muzzle, there's no back pressure to decelerate the piston, and it'll slam against the end of the cylinder
Y'all ship to PR? I don't see any option to ship to PR
One thing to note, it would not be hard, nor a bad idea, to get two nuts on the threaded rod above where one's hand would grip it so that you can deprime the blaster without firing and it's not so awkward trying to balance the blaster, hold the sling lever, and trigger it from the back.
